David (The Personist, artfullyaborted) - My first interaction with you was when I randomly mentioned that I liked the Matches on some news post and you quoted me and wrote out this long, arduous paragraph praising the Matches as the best band making music today. Our next interaction was when the lead singer of Houston Calls through a hissy fit about his ex-girlfriend hooking up with his best friend. I called him a pussy, you called me a cunt (our first fight was very vagina-centric). I don't remember exactly when we became friends but I'm glad we did. Our antics around here are well known, whether it's trolling a random thread just because we're bored, getting into arguments with atheists (and each other) in the God thread, or infuriating Max Bemis to the point that he reveals his "super secret Say Anything term" to the general public, I've enjoyed all our nay nay and I hope to drop at least 10,000 more posts worth of it in the next two years. There's a lot of hubbub about e-friends and all that jazz but, as bromantic as it sounds, I feel like we're beyond that, as we probably know more about each other's girl problems than anyone else on this site. You're not my e-friend, David. You're my friend and this site would be a lot less interesting without you.

Leah (intensified) - You're going to act really surprised that I mentioned you but you must have seen it coming. After all, you're one of the few people I know who will stay up with me until 4:00AM and still have the audacity to wake me up with a text at 10:00AM. True, I normally ignore it and go back to sleep but what do you expect? Seriously though, I don't think there's a problem or issue that I have that I haven't complained about to you at least once in the short time we've known each other outside of this website. I still plan on visiting Kentucky someday and going to a show with you so I can show you how to really throw down (girls are never that good at it). I'll even buy you fast food and watch "Walk Hard" with you. In exchange though, you have to promise to smile more and not date assholes. You deserve better than that. Hitting the Elephant 6 bands the past few days has easily been the coolest thing I've ever done on this site. Aside from that, your dedication to God inspires me. Not many people are able to say they'd be able to travel outside of the country and live in a shack for two years. Have a great time on your mission.

As I explained to David earlier in a Tweet Shit's getting to the point now where I have to focus all my time on real life and less online, you know? AP's done a lot for me no doubt but it can't help what I'm going through right now. I'll probably start posting less & less until finally, I'm done for awhile. Don't know if I'll make a little thread or whatever, I just know that I cannot deal with some things right now. It's hard to explain what exactly is going on without going into specifics, but things need to change for me and I'm willing to do whatever it is to get to that point. Even if I have to do it all alone. Thanks for caring though.

Ballin'. My town only has one indie band and they're really poppy so it'll be nice to have an indie band with some teeth come through. Our conversations about deconstruction, religion, and girls are things I always look forward to, as is that IM every night asking what we should do to keep from dying of boredom. Also of note are the Max Bemis beard thread, our very calculated smackdown of the Say Anything thread (including an open letter to Beemdog himself), and, perhaps greatest of all, the thread that launched 1000 shits: "ATTN: Black Community," which was not only our (and GeeBee's) finest hour, but also one of the highlights of AP. Perhaps it's our vaguely lulzy doctrine of believes that keeps us coming back for more, but whatever it is, I fucking love it, and I hope it stays as awesome as it has been this summer. I'm proud to call myself your friend, not just your e-friend, and I look forward to watching your blog (and hopefully mine) blossoming as we continue, like the big boys that we are, telling Max Bemis he's not the boss of us.

Fair enough. I respect that opinion much more than if you had previously been a fan, and then didn't care for their last two albums. I was unsure, and realized, after our fight last night about 3OH!3 vs. Fall Out Boy, that I didn't really know your take on anything other than FAD. May I ask, do you think their earlier albums also lack catchy melodies?

It's not that. The vocals could use some work, honestly. The lyrics, however, are pretty excellent.

Musically, it's just not really my thing. That might have something to do with the fact that I'm a mainly catchy pop-punk oriented listener. But I can still recognize that it's decent.

Favorite song is probably "The Parking Lot is Sad," but then again, I didn't get to listen to everything.
