Xbox Live?!

I CAN connect to the internet with my Xbox (when I do the test)...but for some reason it won't connect to Xbox live...

I'm doing this through my laptop and I've done it before and it's been working...but ever since my trip it hasn't worked correctly...

HELP!

If nothin works try direct connect. its last hope for me usually. Only your internet will only be on for the xbox and nothin else. You just plug the ethernet cord from your main router to your xbox. if thats not an option than sorry dude. im no help. but thats what i do.

this; I have internet upstairs that I get from the router downstairs, then I just use the cable to connect the laptop to the xbox and share the internet connection.

Most helpful/best response. I lied.

As others have said, reset your router and see if that works. Otherwise go to the microsoft support page and they'll show you how to set up your router for port forwarding (to help xbox live bypass your firewall system)

Ps3 for free all day er day. All that money you been spending on yearly memberships could have gone to a brand new ps3 with blu ray and free internet.

In long run you'll be spending more on the xbox... ;-)
