hahahaha oh you dumb fuck. I cannot stand this "argument" anymore...all conservatives ever do is blame the "liberal media" on "brainwashing" the youth into hating Bush and making it trendy. First off, if hating Bush is so cool, why is he still in office? Apparantly over half the country disagrees with that.
and maybe...just maybe!...there are some valid reasons to dislike the man named George W. Bush. Personally, I don't like him...why? from what I've seen and heard on FOX NEWS...he comes off as the kinda guy who often doesn't speak properly and makes jokes to look cute...that's my own opinion.

what was Bin Laden's main reason for war...you and I both know that he has said it has to do with the Persian Gulf War and US infiltration into Middle Eastern politics. So why do you point out the liberal president? How about all the republican presidents preceding Clinton who actively engaged in that specific topic? Oh right, they're not to blame. Try and take a step back and realize that blaming this bush or another bush or clinton or nixon is not important. It's been US policy for many years to do this. 9/11 was the result.

reference to my post above...do you agree that it has to do with many policies prior to the Clinton adminstration? Even during Clinton's time...I think bin Laden was #1 on the FBI's most wanted list. They did just as much as Bush during the first few months.

SECONDLY, I'm a moderate. There are valid reasons to dislike Bush, he made some stupid mistakes. I have valid reasons to dislike full blown out liberals. he's pre-emptivly striking on countries or terrorist groups that pose a threat to Americans.
he's spreading democracy to countries plagued by dictators or oppressed minortites.
therefore in short, he's protecting Americans (since 9/11), and he's spreading the word of democracy.

Bush's problem is not what he does, but how he does it. He is incredibly inarticulate and, quite frankly, comes across like a fucking idiot. Having said that, you don't become the president of this country by being an idiot; but he really does need to try get his brain to communicate a little better with his mouth.
WMDS? Who knows. I personally believe they were there and Syria or Iran helped to get them out, maybe with the help of Putin. It was the Clinton administration that authored the Doctrine calling for the removal of Hussein and, had Bush used that as the reason for taking him out, he'd be doing a little better in the polls right now. The problem he faces now is that he has completely lost his credibility when he needs it the most, as he attempts to negotiate with the Iranians from a position of weakness.

cool. You talk on television infront of an entire nation, flawlessly. Then criticize his public speaking skills.
First of all, his public speaking isn't half bad. It's when he has to field questions on the fly where he comes across as the idiot.
Second of all, I don't have to have the skills you speak of to know how he comes across. There are plenty of awesome public speakers out there to compare him against. That's like saying, "if you can't play guitar as well as someone else, you don't have a basis for an opinion." I don't have to know how to play guitar to know that there are some guitar players out there that are better than others. For example, it's pretty obvious that Chris Cheney of The Living End makes Tom Delonge look like an idiot when it comes to playing guitar.
I don't know if you want to call someone out as a dumb fuck and then not know how to spell "hooked on phonics" correctly.
im sorry.
it was uncalled for.. and spelling has never been a strong point for me.

the reasons you'll address, are the same reasons every american addresses... i just think your points of Bush are altered by what you hear or read. All i'm trying to say is make your own decission, based on things you know.
Personally, I like Bush's mantality of wanting to stop countries/terrorist groups before they can attack other americans.. Thats what he did in Iraq, thats what he did in Afghanistan, and thats what he'll continue to do. And in making these 'bold' decissions, all I hear is complaints. If you had stuck to the Truman Doctrine then I think we would see more incidents of Sept. 11th.
We constantly complain of all the bad things Bush has done.
1) Oil in Iraq... most overused example... when in fact he's actually making Iraqs oil industry even stronger.
2) The whole privacy issue: In order to make America a safer place don;t you think giving up some liberties is worth this?
3) Justified War in Iraq. Most don't think it was worth all the dying of American soldiers. I agree... I'm probably the biggest critic of war, but in all reality, He's protecting Americans, before Saadam could ever pose a threat to American lives.
Its a shame that so many people had to die for this cause.... some think that implimenting democracy into Iraq will be the gateway for democracy in other middle eastern countries, which could finally make for peace in the middle east.. something we've NEVER seen in history.
Bush has made mistakes, im not going to be ignorant and say I agree with everything the man has done. Im saying in an overall perspective; he's doing what is in America's best interest.... to keep your economy abover the rest of the worlds.. to protect american citizens.. so we never see another event like september 11th.
I apologize for flipping out on that guy... it was uncalled for.. and I'm usually not like that.

All presidents are figureheads... American politics is so decentralized, a presidents power is not as great as some of you may think.
He's the head of state... he's really a figurehead.. a leader... the thousands, and thousands of public servants working underneath him, the ministers, (senators) , the judges on the supreme court... he has alot of good people around him making decissions.. his say is not the be all and end all of a policy decission.
and by the way.. dipshit?? come on man..

dipshit????
he did get re-elected though didn't he??
Yes he did, but I sure as hell didnt vote for him. Neither did any one i know.
Bush got the job because he was a powerful man, and was surrounded by good people before he even ran for president.. I'll be the first to admit that.
Bush got the job because he's got money. And the people around him have money. That dosent mean that they are good people (which they arnt). And you ahead and "admit" that if you so wish it, but as far as I know, that would not be a fact.
All presidents are figureheads... American politics is so decentralized, a presidents power is not as great as some of you may think.
You are correct here. The president is not that powerfull, but he DOSE have power over a lot of things. As I have said before, Bush is surounded by people with money, and money tends to pull strings.
He's the head of state... he's really a figurehead.. a leader... the thousands, and thousands of public servants working underneath him, the ministers, (senators) , the judges on the supreme court... he has alot of good people around him making decissions.. his say is not the be all and end all of a policy decission.
Yet again i have to say somthing about your use of the word "good" , as far as i have seen and studied, there is NOTHING good about the people around him. And he dosent make the decissions, the money dose.
Now you may as well think what you want of me, and from what you are saying you wont agre with me either, but here is a thought for you.
As I see it (not saying i am correct), it seems that your pro-Bush. If so, why are you reading and posting in this topic, when you know that all it is going to do is piss you off?
and by the way.. dipshit?? come on man..
o_O I dont have muck to say about this, but i am going to say that the use of obsenitys is uncalled for at all. And you saying "come one man.." isnt going to help anything, more then likely, all that will do is piss some one off......

That's a myth and a crock of shit. The Heinz/Kerry/Kennedy fortunes dwarf those of the Bush's and Cheye's combined. Add to that Ted Truner, Hollywood, most of the media giants, etc., etc. and you;ll find that the money is actually on the left. There was a study done, comparing the net worth of democrats in both houses with that of republicans and the democrats one that hands down.

No? Let's see..
Bin Laden writes 14 page letter declaring war on the USA... Clinton does nothing
US soldiers ambushed in Mogadishu (movie black hawk down) by Bin Laden..Clinton does nothing
1st world trade center bombing by Bin Laden... Clinton does nothing
USS Cole attacked by Bin Laden,.. Clinton does nothing
Sudan captures Bin Laden and offers him over to Clinton... Clinton does nothing
9/11...Bush's fault?
Actually Clinton's stance on anti-terrorism was the largest of the latter half of the 20th century. He had the most proactive campaign against terrorism which probably incited the attacks on the US on September 11th. Where were you when Clinton initially attacked Al Quaeda during his second term. I was in 6th grade and I had enough intelligence then to realize that was a significant anti terrorist action.
Take your hyper conservative bullshit to people who are ignorant enough to look the other way just because Clinton wasn't a republican and he had a skeevy personal life. Don't try and pass him off as a bad president, that would just be ignorant.

yes, because, how dare someone question our leader right?.......anyway, I don't think George W. Bush is a bad guy, I just think he's too dumb to make logical decisions and he doesn't realize that he's fucking the US up....(seriously guys, it's impossible to deny). He's kind of like a retarded guy who kills someone and they had no idea they did anything wrong....ironically, George W. Bush has given the death penalty to a few of these guys.....that's right, I'm going there.
Bush is a lot smarter than you give him credit. While I am a blatant liberal and do not support him in any way, he runs solid campaigns and somehow was reelected when his approval rates were at a low at the time. He isn't dumb, he just uses his power in ways many people don't approve of. To do that continually and be reelected is the mark of a rather intelligent individual.
I for one think his ignorant speech patterns are a hoax which gains votes from the common people who see him as a very down to earth common individual who can be related to.

Man talk about hyper politicizing.....shit, Clinton was "pro-active" on terrorism?....Whose been force feeding you this shit?
So doing absolutely nothing after the terrorist bombings in 93', 95', 96', 98' and 00', which all killed Americans, is proactive? Really, there should be a limit to the amount of bullshit a person will believe unquestionable before they pick up a book and research for themselves, and you my friend have obviously reached that point.
Bombing a mud hut and a drug facility is not attacking al-quaeda, nor is turning down three real offers on bin laden's head because of Reno's incompetent prosecution worries. And you want to talk about inciting an attack, wouldn't his weak, and down right cowardly, responses to Somalia, the Cole bombing, Saddum and the 93' World Trade Center bombing, more likely be the cause of the ballsy attack on the US mainland, then his nonexistent "pro-active" response to terrorism.
Really its time to open a book, Clinton may have been the great domestic appeaser, but strong on terrorism he was not.

Well sir, I don't have the specific facts in front of me, but in comparison to Bush's pre 9/11 stance and Clinton's, Clinton beat him out by far. Google it.

You can not fairly compare 8yrs of inactivity to 9 months. Besides compare their actions after an attack (the logical starting point) and bush "beats him out by far".....

Accidentaly blowing up a pharm. plant and bombing one training camp can hardly be considered "agressive"
Yes he did, but I sure as hell didnt vote for him. Neither did any one i know.
Well.... enough people did to get him back in.... says something doesn't it?
Bush got the job because he's got money. And the people around him have money. That dosent mean that they are good people (which they arnt). And you ahead and "admit" that if you so wish it, but as far as I know, that would not be a fact.
You know them personally? How do you know they're not good people... I think its evident they do good things for Americans.. thats how I justify they are good people... Now if you're going to use the excuse of Iraq.. then I might take the time of your response to Yawn... because its been overused dear. Its whether you beleive in the Bush Doctrine that will sway your opinion on your President... which you do not have high thoughts about... and I don't blame you.. you have a point.. to a certain extent.. My main point is simply that, the good things him and his administration does for the country seems to be overshadowed by the bad, or 'inappropriate' things.
You are correct here. The president is not that powerfull, but he DOSE have power over a lot of things. As I have said before, Bush is surounded by people with money, and money tends to pull strings.
Money pulls strings.. which is why the U.S is the Super power.... and they act accordingly....
Yet again i have to say somthing about your use of the word "good" , as far as i have seen and studied, there is NOTHING good about the people around him. And he dosent make the decissions, the money dose.
The people around him are good...? where do you get off thinking they're bad people... they're making their self interested decissions to protect the majority of Americans.. the fact that you don't think the precautions they're taking is right is your opinion.... My whole point from the get go, was wait, and see..... because my bet is 95% of people who detest the Bush administration will look back and see Iraq as a turning point for peace in the Middle East.
Now you may as well think what you want of me, and from what you are saying you wont agre with me either, but here is a thought for you.
I dont agree with you obviously, that doesn't negate the fact I respect and include your opinion into my own personal ideological beleifs... I think thats what makes a good political scientists.. or hopefully one day politician.. you listen to as many peoples opinions as you can.. and take them into account.... not enough politicians (especially in Canada) listen to their constituents...
As I see it (not saying i am correct), it seems that your pro-Bush. If so, why are you reading and posting in this topic, when you know that all it is going to do is piss you off?
I'm reading, and posting because I think some people are mis-informed... through media, and other peoples beliefs... im not asking anyone to buy into my beleifs.. im just simply trying to open new doors, and allow people to think outside the mainstream box of the whole "Bush is Evil," thought
o_O I dont have muck to say about this, but i am going to say that the use of obsenitys is uncalled for at all. And you saying "come one man.." isnt going to help anything, more then likely, all that will do is piss some one off...... My comment of 'come on man' was simply stating that.. 'was that necessary to make the comment he did".. not to start further trouble.
thanks for your response.

look.
i dont like George Bush at all. I feel that most of his policies are severely flawed and his refusal to admit any mistakes is appalling. but I'm not going to behave like an idea and just say "Bush = the devil" or "down with Dubya!" because its not intelligent.
