Daphne Loves Derby (http://www.daphnelovesderby.com) will be recording their sophomore full length during the months of July and August with none other than Matt Squire (http://www.mattsquire.com) (Panic! At the Disco (http://www.panicatthedisco.com), Hit the Lights (http://www.absolutepunk.net/hitthelights)).

Is Matt Squire the new Mark Trombino? Methinks so.

hey...i really liked on the strength. But it did get a little boring at times. They're at their best when they get rockin like in "if you're lucky no one will get hurt"

hopefully they will be able to spend more time writing this album. Their last one was super pushed... had to write a buncha stuff in studio and ish. Sometimes that works, but usually it doesn't. I'm looking forward to a very polished and well thought through record.
Awesome. I really liked On the Strength of All Convinced.

saweeeeeeet.
from what i hear from people about thier new stuff, its supposedly the most epic sounding thing to happen in a very long time, so Squire should be absolutely perfect to pull it off. Are all of you just noticing Matt Squire? Dude's been around mad long...if im not completely stupid i believe he did Pollyanna by Northstar, TREOS, and about half of everyones top 10 picks for best cds of 2005

Won't this be their third, and not sophomore release?

It's only their 2nd full length I think... hence sophomore full length and not sophomore release.
rad, awesome guys and awesome producer. can't wait to hear!
i hope they move towards the harder stuff like the secret track on all the strength.

As for what someone has heard about this album being a lot more epic and shit -- you're completely right. They've been working on this album for months and it's a lot deeper than their last shit which true, it was rushed and some shit was written in the studio.
