Maybe he was caught by the others and made to forget like Claire was. Though I doubt it. Who knows though...this show is a plot twist every episode.

Well im pretty sure they showed the ballon at the end of last weeks episode in the preview for tonights show. He leads on like he knows somthing about the hatch, he says somthing along the lines of "you guys really dont know much about this place"

Agreed because the more stuff they add on and the more mysteries they add on, the harder it is to keep track of all of them. I have a hard enough time remembering or trying to figure out everything that's going on right now.

Yeah, it's hard enough keeping track of all the characters, not to mention the other people that they are getting more in-depth with (Bernard, Rose, Libby, etc.). They had better pull this off.

I still want to know what the deal is with the smoke because they haven't completely answered that. Who are the others? Are there more then one set of Others? Where's Desmond? How did Desmond get there? How did the plane get there? What's the purpose of them being there? What is the hatch for? What is DHARMA? What happens if you don't push the button? What is the purpose of the black smoke? Where did the sickness come from? And so on and so forth...

There are so many unanswered questions, it's ridiculous. They can't possibly add more or else it's going to be come overwhelming.

The smoke isn't smoke. It's metal dust. Or so I think, given that the island is based off of electromagnetism...the others can control it. Though I don't quite understand how it's able to read the minds of those it "looks" at.

Quite simply I think he is. Lost is notorious for stringing viewers along, but there are times when it must be what the viewer instinctively thinks. This is the first time we've seen the team hold someone captive, so it'll be interesting whatever happens.
