I never claimed I knew shit all about good music. I started listening to most of these bands in grade 9/10. No, I didnt fucking know "whats up". I still dont, it seems. Ive been listening to mostly metal lately, and ignoring all my indie/underground rock and shit. I came back to AP to help get back into the bands I used to be into, and find new, similar bands to listen to.

God, I was heartbroken when they broke up. I recommend Making Beds in a Burning House and the song "Nancy" off of Penturbia. Both are great, but I love Making Beds.

I really don't understand why kids are so upset at this thread. I don't think it has anything to do with "proving" you're a "real" fan of the music. No doubt there are people like that, but to automatically assume that's what the thread is about is being overly sensitive. It's not that serious. And quite frankly, it does get annoying when you appreciate a band for so long from the beginning, like Kings of Leon, and then there are those who hear "Sex on Fire" and "Use Somebody" and say it is their favorite band ever. and most of the bands i know don't count because i'll be the only one knowing them here, most people i know don't like the music i listen to, they just listen to anything thats being fed to them thru the radio and tv :(
