i cant believe the 05 Illini are a number 12 seed and 05 NC is a number 7 seed that makes it to the sweet 16....total bullshit

UNC may have won the tourney but by no means are they the better team. Illinois was the better team. UNC may have won on individual talent, but they were nothing compared to the TEAM that was the illini. They were the word TEAM embodied on the court that year. They were better, sorry UNC.

yeah, even worse is the friggin FAB FIVE getting a 15 seed. give me a break. and '76 IU should have won.

all the big ten teams getting screwed.....

Thats kind of hard to prove though since they lost to UNC in the finals.

....if you would have read my post you might understand. I said UNC won on individual talent. They didnt play like a team. The Illini played like a team. If you ever watched one of their games in the 05 season you would know waht Im talking about. They are a better team. And they should have won the tourney as well.

And they should have won the tourney as well.Dude I read your post and I just think it may be a little bias because you are an Illinois fan. I watched a few UNC and Illinois game last year. Yes Illinois played great as a team but it's not like UNC won on individual talent alone. To beat a good team like Illinois in the championship game it takes more then individual talent. The fact remains Illinois still lost. Plus a better team usually always beats individual talent (if that makes sense)

it's crazy cause my dad actually got to meet him and get him to sign a basketball. he is like a relative of some people my dad used to know pretty well.
