I can't play the guitar, but when I was taking lessons for a while I did manage to learn About A Girl by Nirvana. It didn't sound that great seeing as I can't play, but I can only imagine someone who can play would find it effortless.

haha, i'll have to try that out. for obvious reasons, whenever someone mentions that song TAI's song of the same name comes to mind. i've only been doing it for a few months, and i tought my girlfriend who's never touched a guitar in her life how to play the chorus for hash pipe by weezer. real easy

Yeah, I didn't take lessons for too long, unfortunately. With almost no experience I learned nearly the entire song within the lesson though. I can't for the life of me remember how to do it anymore though, haha.

"Isis" by the Goo Goo Dolls, "Good Riddance" by Green Day, "Swing Life Away" Rise Against
All of those songs use more or less the same chords.
Taking Back Sunday - Cute Without The E. It was the first song I ever learned, and it's really easy to tweak around and make it all slowish and acousticish and I'm-trying-to-impress-this-girl-I-like-ish.
Dashboard Confessional - The Ghost Of A Good Thing. More power chords to learn how to be a grade-A lazy guitarist.
I got a handjob out of it. Worth the 15 minutes of practice it took.
:ok:

I only have an acoustic, no electric, so I generally don't learn three-chord pop punk songs... but I don't think they'd be easier than ITAOTS.

Kurt Cobain never really made a lot of complex songs. The only problem I had was switching from the chords, which I overcame in couple days. I thought it was pretty simple.

haha, I was kidding man. I just noticed that no one was really saying anything was actually anything but power chords really, so I figured I'd spice it up a bit. My brother on the other hand, can indeed play the McKee, Vai, and Satriani without fail. He's fucking ridiculous.

haha! I'm sure it does. Someone who looks like McKee does can get those panties off faster than anyone else, with the help of his magic guitar. "Into the Ocean" is probably about how wet he gets folks when he puts his guitar on.

Any Fall Out Boy track is perfect for bassists. They're all really easy, comprised of 1 or 2 strings, not much in the way of fret sliding, and when you play it at, say, parties, everyone knows the songs, so at the right party, you're bound to get laid.

I'm not hating on the dude. I love Pete. He's a dreamboat (I say that non-ironically) and the guy got rich off really, really simple shit (admittedly, with them, it was the right aesthetic/fad at just the right time). That's awesome. I think we all know how much I love Fall Out Boy.
