There are a lot of threads out there regarding music recs. and I think it would help out the site and give it less clutter.
For example :
If you are looking for a band that sounds like The Bouncing Souls, you simply type "The Bouncing Souls" into a search bar and the ap.net profiles of bands that they sound like would pop up. To even add on to this, possibly links to other parts of the site discussing these bands. Reviews, Set Lists, Other threads involving them, etc.
All and all it's an easier way of doing RIYLs. Helps people find more music on the same lines of what they like and also helps bands get attention.
