Black Man Jailed For Yawning in Court

Has anyone heard about this on here? I saw a good write up on it here (http://onfriendscultureandothershit.blogsp ot.com/2009/08/alittle-racism-spices-up-meal-but.html). It also has links to two newspaper articles about it.

Basically, a black man yawned after a preceding against his cousin, and the judge gave him the full punishment for contempt possible, 6 months in jail. The drug-offending cousin who was convicted only got 2 years probation. They tried to say it was "loud and boisterous" and purposely trying to disrupt the court after the sentencing.

The judge in question has also given contempt punishments for cell phones going off during court.

What the hell is going on? Is this judge an asshole, a racist, or both?

And as far as the charges go, it basically gets chalked up as being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was sleepy, and the judge EXTREMELY over reacted. Of course, wasn't there, so I wouldn't know.

The original article from AOL not only says he is black it also provides a picture. The blog itself is a culture based comedy blog that just decided to post about it, and it was the most interesting link to link to. BLACK MAN is in the title to garner attention.
