He Is Legend Comments On New Material

Vocalist Schuylar Croom of He Is Legend (http://www.heislegend.com) had the following to say about the band's new material. The band will be recording their new album during the months of April and May with Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan (http://www.dillingerescapeplan.com), The Early November (http://www.theearlynovember.net)):
The next album is a little smarter, a little dirtier, and a little more intense. We've learned a lot since we recorded `I Am Hollywood.' It was our first time in a major studio and we didn't really know how to make an album, just write songs. We are going back to our Southern Rock roots now. It's the music that we were raised on.

It's good, but none of the of the songs convey any of the energy that "I am holywood" or "the seduction" had except for a fe, which came close.

that one guy is half right, the seduction and i am hollywood were standout tracks, but you would have had to lisetn to the other ones more than halfway through to realize they were good songs. im excited to see the new shit is gonna be "dirtier", this band is fucking amazing

Listen to the entire album, ya ass. eating a book(track 2) is just as upbeat as i am hollywood and the seduction......why dont u like that song at least.

that's exactly what i was thinking. i bought the cd after hearing "the seduction" and "i am hollywood" expecting a whole album of that stuff and was a little let down. i'll still listen to the other tracks, but i just get super pumped for those songs and it sucks that the others aren't up to par.

He is Legend is amazing. I love their style and 'I Am Hollywood'... They had such a variety of songs on it, I still listen to it all the time.

I Am Hollywood had maybe 2 weak tracks, not JUST 2 strong tracks. It's just not "emo" enough for some people I guess.

Hollywood was an amazing record. This next one will be amazing as well. This band is crazy talented and can blend so many different styles. I am glad the record is not the same intense songs over and over again. They are too smart and talented for that. Go listen to FOB if you don't want to be suprised.
