EA sports is coming out with this new game, its a football simulation and from what i've heard so far it sounds pretty sweet. Sounds like a more indepth version of madden, without the game play of course, but it has some interesting features, like dynamic player ratings. I guess a player like Vick might range from a 70 on a bad day to over a 90 when everything is working out for him, i guess each player has a range and can fall anywhere in that range depending on certain factors day to day.

anyway, any one else hear about it? there is a story about it on www.gamespot.com

yeah, after a while of playing madden i usually just sim the games and focus on all the other things in franchise mode, so this will be perfect, i wonder if they will cut some of that stuff from the new madden game though?

Man I see this as potentially being really bad. Looks kind of boring, and I'd rather just play madden.

it's definetely an interesting concept, but i don't think i would play it for very long.

I think this would have a ton of lasting value, the best part about Madden is the dynasty/franchise stuff anyways. i love the logistics of the game.

this game will let you actually watch the game as its being played, so it would be like having 2 computer controlled teams play eachother in madden, except you can call the plays and you can even coach up the players on the sideline. graphically i bet they could make it pretty sick if they wanted to, and there is rumored to be some compatability with the next madden game, i think they said you might be able to transfer a team from HC to madden.

I dunno, after reading about it, it's probably going to get pretty boring pretty quick. But then again, I'll definetely have to play it to see.

I personally can't wait for the new madden games coming out though. Although ESPN 2K5 in my opinion, is a better game, we don't have that choice for the next 15 years(atleast Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart will be seasoned vets rated in their high 90's by then, if they play that long, hahaha)

Absolutely. Hopefully for Madden 07 they'll combine elements from both games, such as the half-time and post-game shows in ESPN and such.

it sounds like a good idea but i really do enjoy playing the games as well. like someone said before, if it were integrated into Madden then that would be amazing. i really like the fact that a players ratings can change from day to day like they can in real life.

It's an interesting idea but it seems like it'd be a borefest after a while... even though you get sick of it sometimes, you just need some gameplay in there.
