MySpace has removed (http://news.ft.com/cms/s/3f8a53d4-c01c-11da-939f-0000779e2340.html) 200,000 "objectionable" profiles.

So it was true if you didn't post those 3 thousand bulletins Tom would delete your profile. Shit I hope mine's still there.
Well, I don't have a MySpace account.. so I guess this doesn't affect me. Good to see they're taking a step to stop pedophiles everywhere, though.

"Teachers and parents are concerned that, because information on MySpace is publicly available, it might put teenagers in contact with predatory adults."
if a person puts revealing photos of themself in their myspace, puts their address in there, puts their phone numbers in, etc. then i have no sympathy for them. they should know what sick fucks are out there and avoid those things. if theyre not gonna be smart about it, then they have it coming.

maybe we all should have taken down that shot of our penis.
I know a lot of younger kids (around 10 years old) who have MySpace accounts. I know girls who are fourteen-fifteen who post pictures of themselves in either just underwear or maybe nothing at all besides some object, such as their own hands, covering themselves. At that age, some kids are smart enough to know what is a good idea to post and what isn't... but some kids aren't.
It's another issue of "Where are the parents?", but this one is going to get worse. Young kids (hell, even stupid late teenagers or adults) can be easily tricked into believing anything they read on the Internet. Hell, away messages, profiles.. these things all can lead to bad real-life situations.
It's easy to say "Those kids deserve it", but that's almost as ignorant as saying the same statement in many other contexts (drugs, rape, crime, etc). Someone, hopefully parents/guardians, needs to be in control of their children. That's where this starts.
America (and many other parts of the world) are turning out youth into sluts. The media projects it, parents don't stop it, and the courts don't assist in the process. It's entirely fucked.

well I think that SOME teenage girls use it for attention but me and my friends just use it as another way to talk and it really just depends on the person not the age group

no offense but it is the age group... you dont see many "older" people getting on myspace and posting pictures of their boobs and themselves in short ass skirts and things of that nature...it is the age group.

I had some random chick send me a picture of her breasts, holding a sign that said I LOVE and then my name. IT was so random and I was like what the Hell, don't you have any thing better to do with you time.
I hope her profile was deleted cause I'm pretty sure that was all she was doing and trying to get people to pay to see her website or some shit.

I think they deleted all the unofficial music myspaces too. The ones that had songs just so someone can put the song on their myspace or put the song up for downloads

myspace is getting a little messed up. it has got me in trouble a few times with different girls and such. like a buddy will be like "that chic u were with last night was hot!" then you got other potential girls thinking or finding out your a whore, it sucks.
myspace ruins lives
why do u say this? cuz you might be onto something.
