for anyone who would have a knowledgable reply or any helpful opinions. I got a letter regarding my application to michigan state university here some of the main points, not exact wording

" we have received all your information, we appreciate your interest. a review of your application indicates a decision regarding your status will be determined at the end of this term upon receipt of an official transcript containing your final grades. It is our hope that your overall academic record at the completion of the term will enable us to offer you admission to MSU."

i was wondering if anyone had an idea of what this probably means. does it mean that if my grades are good this term they will accept me????? wouldn't they have just said no if they weren't going to accept me?? please reply!!! thank you

i called the admissions office and they said that if they were going to reject me they would've sent a letter saying so, instead of one saying we would like to see you grades at the end of the term.

i think that it's just a way to keep your grades up, sorta. a lot of schools want final transcripts before you officially enroll into their school.

thats what i was thinking since they didnt send a rejection letter like the lady said they would if they were going to reject me. and what i sent were final transcripts they just wanna see the rest of this semester.

it sounds like they want your final grades this term to be fairly high, there are probly undecided about a few students with similar grades. so are waiting till final grades are posted to make the final decision....good luck!
