There were days when the words would come like rain
I was young and naïve thinking it’ll all stay the same
Now I’ve grown – seen all that’s become
Now I’ve left – a new journey’s begun
A time when I awoke to an empty sky
I knew I was missing pieces inside
Soon my feet were dragging across the floors
Of empty houses and war torn shores
At the time I thought restlessness brought relief
But some nights are hard, I’ve come to see
And now I can swim in the ocean freely
