Hey guys/gals of the lovely AP.net community. I just put together this website two days ago. It got featured on the front page of Gorillamask.net which is pretty awesome. Anyhow...

Need to quickly know if a movie is worth your time?
http://www.fuckingmoviereviews.com
Quick, to-the-point movie reviews for people in a fucking hurry.

the page is updated weekly with the release of new films. all reviews are based on the film's rottentomatoes percentage, which is pretty trustworthy and accurate. but fuck rottentomates and yahoo-movies. use fuckingmoviereviews.com instead. it's more fun.

Why would I look at this? If I go to RT I go to look at a percentage, not to read the reviews. This isn't even half clever; I'd put it on the same level as G-Force and say this site is... REALLY fucking shitty.

So...you basically just ripped off a small portion of some other website and called it your own?

Hey guys, I have this new website called fuckingmusicnews.com. It doesn't have any forums, user profiles, or album reviews. I kinda just ripped the RSS news feed from the front page of absolutepunk.net, stripped out most of the article, and put in on my website. Because, you know, it's more efficient and fast. And we use the word fucking a lot, lolololol.

I think I'll stick with Rotten Tomatoes.

Exactly, it's retarded. He doesn't even watch the movies, he takes what everyone else days and writes the same thing for each star.

I think I'll stick with Rotten Tomatoes.

Now why in earth would you do that with such a fantastic site like this one?

I prefer my film review consensus sites to be really, really trashy.

Jeeeesus. I had no idea this was anything to get upset about. I forgot about all of the angst and hormones that are constantly raging around AP.net. It's been a while.

Of course the site is gimmicky and stupid. That's the point. I'm not claiming it to be intellectual, high-brow humor. But guess what the majority of the people on the internet are? Stupid. I've gotten 35,000 unique hits in 2 days for a site that took me an hour to make. You try to do that.

Yes, it pulls from the rottentomatoes RSS feed and assigns a predetermined 'review' based on the percentage. I don't do a damn thing to update it.

I like it, actually.

Someone posted it the other day. I enjoy it. I figured you had seen the movies though. That is disappointing.

I liked The Ugly Truth.

Site's definitely forgettable though...

I laughed. I know the whole point is that it's supposed to be quick and to the point but I like knowing why I should or shouldn't see a movie, or at least a little something about it. Good for a laugh, but probably wouldn't actually use it.

People need to stop flexing their internet muscles.

The beauty of that fucking mouse in your hand is you have the option not to use it to click on things you don't want. Instead of bitchin' about it.

I think it's sweet.

Not a bad idea, but I'd try to launch it more as a widget than a website experience. Not sure I'd visit this on a daily basis.

But do I have a personal tilt of appreciation because I like to imagine Kenny Powers reviewing the movies.

Haha I was thinking exactly the same thing.

That's the big thing nowadays though right? Same thing with texts from last night, fml and all the other picture blogs I'll visit once and never check out again.

Either way this site was good for a laugh, I wouldn't visit it regularly or anything though.

But if you ask someone who actually saw it you might get more than one sentence and they might be helpful in some way.

Sometimes I just want someone to tell me if a movie is worth watching or not without going into in-depth detail about it.

That said, you could make a Twitter for this and it would do the trick without having to make a website for it.

Yeah, I sort of understand the concept, but 19 out of 20 of these are no brainers(coughG-Forcecough). It'd be nice if the one sentence somehow gave readers an idea of why it sucked or was awesome. I like the idea of a quick, to the point review, but it feels like they shouldn't be interchangeable.

The fact that you have gotten those hits does not mean it's a good website. See how many of those users RETURN.
