They played two new songs last night. One was title "Hold My Hand" but the title might change according to chad, The other new song they didn't say the name of it but it started out with piano and it ruled. The new songs will not disappoint.

However, i still think it was a bad NFG album.
That aside, who played piano? I've read from NFG that James is Not a 6th member of NFG, but a post on her a few days ago said he was in NFG. So i'm curious to know if he recorded with them, or is touring with them.

Wow, some people have no respect for bands or personal dignity. "I hope it leaks really early so my selfish ass can get a hold of the cd; to hell with the band if their record sales suffer because of it." On a personal note, I really hope it does come out in September cause if its gets pushed back from there, that most likely means it won't come out until early 07.

I'm really excited to hear some new stuff by them. Was anybody there who might want to tell how the new songs sounded?The new song "Hold My Hand" (at least that's what they're calling it now) started off with palm mutes on both Steve and Chad's guitar. Ian was playing palm mute on bass too I think. it sounded very pop punk. The only lines I remember from the song are "Do you, do you want to hold my hand" and during some part of the song towards the end Jordan was singing "Do do do do do. Do do do do do." it sounded really good. The other new song which they didn't say the name for was kind of a slow one. Not too slow. It starting off with a piano which was rad then the whole band started jamming. The only lines I remember from that song are from the chorus which goes "it's not your fault. So please stop your crying" The song also ended with piano. Too me it sounded 80's ish minus the synth. Over all the two new songs were awesome. I can't wait for this album.

lol no but september is close to the winter, so by the time we all hear the album for the first couple months, it will be during the cold weather.

Who cares if this album isn't coming out before summer... Halifax, Taking Back Sunday, Angels and Airwaves, and Hellogoodbye(I think they'll take the cake as best summer band ever after this album drops) are all coming out for the summer. NFG will be a good closer for the summer and help me welcome the fall and winter. :D

Listen man, I understand you're going to buy the album but don't be promoting the fact that you want a cd to leak. Most kids that do get a leak early will forget about the album by the time it retails and won't buy it like you and me. I could see your point for some bands, but I don't think that a leaked CD would lead to New Found Glory's demise or a subsequent lack of recordings. The only possible scenario I could foresee that happening is if a CD is so awful that neither the present label or another label would want to pick that up. The chances of that happening to NFG are slim.

I understand that many people who get a leaked CD unfortunately never later pay for it and "steal" it from artists; however, it doesn't mean that a fan looking forward to a leaked CD is a bad thing. You discuss the negative aspects of a leaked album, which mostly relate to financial losses for record companies, but a leaked CD also leads to other opportunities for a band, including free/"underground" press. It is possible for a leaked CD to favor a band moreso than hurt them.

Awesome. Good to hear that they're sticking to a pop-punk sound and changing it up a bit too.

why do people call Self Titled a summer album? that's simple. because most people didn't buy it until the summer of 01 when NFG toured with Blink 182. and then they just pretend it just came out then since that is when they first bought it.

according to the setlist i aquired last night at the show, the second new song is titled "Its not your fault" I noticed that one line of the song was "she smells like angels outta smell" As far as my knowledge, that line if from the movie Sin City. That may just be a tentitive title...

Also, James is not touring with them, and it doesn't seem as if he'll be back on the road anytime soon with them cause he has his own shit going on with Reggie (they are doing warped, then an album due out in the fall also, followed by another headlining tour) I'm betting the band would love to find a replacement touring keys guy, but since they ARE NOT doing warped tour and don't plan on really doing a full tour until the fall they have time to figure that out. From what I heard, the new album has a lot of keys/strings used on it

apparently he is recording before warped this summer
it also mentioned its going to a be a 3-disc thing and the CDs aren't going to be secured in the packaging, they are just going to fall out when you open the case. The title is going to be "WATCH OUT" or something to that effect.
