Big D and the Kids Table (http://www.bigdandthekidstable.com/framed.html) is a ska band that has stuck to their musical style despite knowing that it leads them into extreme poverty. They spent two homeless years in Boston and often get by on leftovers and necessities from hotels and colleges. That said, their music is phenomenal as well.

Fearless Records' Brazil (http://www.ahostage.com/) hit it somewhat big in 2004. Check out their A Hostage and the Meaning of Life.

Little Brother's (http://www.littlebrothermusicinc.com/) The Minstrel Show caused quite a stir when going through publicity stages. The Source had problems when they gave it four and one half mics, one half of a mic better than was allotted to Young Jeezy. This led ultimately to the resignation of one prominent Source employee. Virgin Megastore then dropped the record from their sales racks. Finally, BET refused to play the group's album because it was, as described by 9th Wonder, "too intelligent for the BET audience." If all that drama doesn't make you want to listen to The Minstrel Show, just realize that it is great hip hop and that, of course, my musical taste in absolutely flawless.

I also recomend seeing Ice Age II: The Meltdown (http://www.iceagemovie.com/). I was a sucker for the first Ice Age, and this was definately worth my price of admission. I'm not sure why I love these movies so much, but I most certainly do. If not that, see Thank You for Smoking. (http://www2.foxsearchlight.com/thankyouforsmoking/).

Keep playing Minesweeper, but also hit up Ski. That's the game where you ski down a mountain and eventually the snow monster eats you. That is one heck of a game.

Also just found this:

The Yetis are not invincible.

There are two ways to beat them:

The hard way

Press the 'F' key while playing the game. This will greatly increase your speed. Now that you are as fast as they are, simply run down the hill, and if you do not hit anything (or only hit a few things) you can pass the yetis.
The easy way

After you press the 'F' key, press F3. This will pause the game. Now, press the 'T' key. The game will move one frame each time you press the 'T' key. If you play the speed of one frame at a time, it is simple not to ever hit anything. This makes skiing past the yetis even easier (but it is not as much fun).

What happens to you after you pass the yetis? Well, eventually, you reach the starting area again. Not that exciting I suppose, but it's fun to know that you have beat those damn yetis, even if you did have to press some secret buttons.

used to play this in primary [elementary for you yanks ] school alll the time. and i found a different way to 'beat' the yeti...sort of. when he comes for you, start skiing horizontally across the screen, like cross country skiing. for some reason, he is no faster than you are when going sideways, despite owning your ass when going down the mountain.

however, this is only good for a few minutes as you frantically flee from the yeti, imagining the benny hill theme music playing, and praying that your chosen horizontal path doest co-incide with any trees or rocks. (sometimes you get lucky and you can run forever) but sooner or later, lets face it. you're gonna get fuckin eaten. stop skiing on yeti mountain, you idiot.
