martin's such a good guy... he was a senior at my school when i was a freshman and since then he's given me the heads up on their shows and stuff. and he still takes time away from autographs and talking to the mobs of girls to shake my hand and thank me for coming... im so happy for him

these guys played at my college the other night. though the stage set up was absolutely horrible, and the crowd was small, these guys stole the show. i guess thats expected with a hometown crowd, but they were awesome.

"Kelly: When and how did Boys like Girls form?
Martin: Well I went on tour awhile back with John and we formed a couple of bands in the Boston area, Johns the drummer, and Brian was in one of them, we’ve all been jamming for a couple of years. So I called up John one day and I said “yo, I have an idea for a band, can you bring in Brian and lets play, I have a buncha songs and he had just done a demo for a friend with Paul. He brought in Paul cuz he thought he’d be perfect and we just clicked and started practicing that day, and that was like 6 months ago."

didn't the band hold tryouts in new york?

This band was put together by Columbia Records. Other than the lead singer and one member, the band was created.

Uh, Martin's been playing in bands with Bryan and John since he was 17... and Paul played in a band called States and Capitols w/John and that's how he got brought in
