i just watched Saw II for the first time and i (while i thought i would absolutely hate it) really liked it a lot. i liked the first Saw, but i didnt love it.. i thought it was probably a 6.5/10. so vote and discuss, which is the more superior Saw?

I've seen the first one, it was better than I thought it would be. The second one looked like another one of Hollywood's weak takes on Japanese horror. The difference is that the Japanese believe in having a good story, and all this shit coming out of LA has just been gore for the sake of gore.
Again, I didn't see it, but that's just how it came off to me.

uno, because at the time the idea was fresh and original, and fo rthe second one everyone pretty much had a rough idea of what was going to happen

Saw had the best story and plot twist (you didn't expect it), but Saw II had better deaths.

saw 2 was a good concept as a follw up but saw one was just so creepy, and original.
i have only seen the first one, after that i was not interested in seeing another.
I enjoyed the second one, but you just can't fuck with the first one. Such a great movie. And in my opinion the twist from the first film was a million times better than the twist from the second film.

....why danny glover is in the first one i have no ideai don't watch these movies for character development or acting. it's just fun to watch. Saw i thought they did the development pretty well tho. Saw 2 they really didnt go into it as much and was more of a lets see how much fucked up shit we can do. I thought the first one was alot better but i do enjoy both.

None of the above. Maybe if I was more into the gory/horror/whatever this movie is movies. I'm more of a comedy fan.

none.. i love scary movies, but when they revolve around ripping/slicing/sawing people apart, its not so ingriguing anymore.

i didnt think it was that gory at all. not so much as in like, House of Wax or those other "gore " ones youre talking about
but yeah Japanese make the best horror movies.

I was actually scared at certain parts of Saw II. I don't get easily scared by movies, but the syringe scene just creeped me out.
