this course is insanely long...one 300 yard par 4...two 600+ par 5's

yeah but a lot of the holes are playing shorter. for instance the par 3 13th is listed at 248 but playing around 215 today. should be interesting to see how they configure the course for sunday.
It's gonna be a good weekend! Lets hope Tiger can use his momentum and make the cut this time!

I still dont think Tiger s driving well enough to win but it wouldnt shock me either. Im disapointed Casey had to withdraw as he was one of my picks.

he's actually been driving it pretty well since everything clicked for him on the back 9 at firestone on saturday
Remember what he did in the 02' PGA, sinking 4 birdies on the last four holes, to still lose. That was insane.
Edit: of course by him, I mean Tiger

Ya I didt see any of last weeks tourny but even when he was playing well the weks before he still wasnt hitting the ball really well. I didnt realize this was a 72 they were playing this week, might as well just give him the trophy and I can stop watching.

Tiger in the lead after Day 1...the way he was playing, he could go Pebble Beach on this field really...it'll be cool to see if Paddy keeps up w/ him

Shit, when he's down 4 strokes its tough to beat Tiger.....I'm just waiting to hear the stat from ESPN that says like "up 4 strokes, Tiger has never lost a major....heck, up 1 stroke he's X%"

tiger is two up going into tomorrow (sunday). he has never lost a major when he had at least a share of the lead after 54 holes. so it looks good for mr. woods.

Nobody is sinking anything on 18 today so whoever is behind has to hit damn near perfect shots to make up a stroke on that hole. And what an eagle, I pretty much jumped out of my chair when that happened. Too bad Tiger made his putt. WHat a hell of a round this has been to watch.

this is getting interesting. and if tiger has to hit a putt on 18 to force a playoff, he will hit it. he is tiger woods. but we shall see i suppose.
is he putting with his eyes closed?

Some of the shots Yang hit were just awesome

Good...this is AWESOME for golf...people who just watched to see Tiger dominate will now watch even more to see if Tiger loses.
Its bad for Tiger...sort of...cause its a major he didn't win and it causes people to question him...but so, so good for golf to have Harrington and Kim sticking with him, and to have a guy like Yang beat him out

Cause it is? It hasn't happened in 13 years in any tournament...and never happened in a major
When streaks of 14-0 and 36-0 are broken, its news in every sport

Yeah, the way I worded that doesn't really make any sense. My point is that while it's worthy of comment that he surrended a lead, at the end of the day all he did was lose a tournament, just as he lost the last three. It's not going to change golf forever.

Gotcha. And that's very true...but maybe it'll change the way golf is covered going into next year. He's been in contention in all but the British, yet never was able to break through in the Masters and US, and now with the PGA he finally lost a lead. Maybe the story will finally be "Woods and these guys are contenders"...rather than Tiger v the Field

true. but tiger is still so consistent in majors and other tournaments. i mean he has won 5 times this year and no one else has won more than twice.
but i was pleased to see an asian win. hopefully it helps the golf world out. although yang will never win a major again.

Thats because its the biggest upset in golf, ever? Way bigger than Jack Fleck beating Ben Hogan in '55

I don't think upsets in golf are as significant as in other sports.
