Maybe Jack's will be doing a headlining tour since it looks like there will only be a few west coast dates for O.A.R. with them. I hope at least..

You would think OAR would take more similar bands on the road with them. They took The Exit last time.

Awesome, so Jack's is opening for super-preppy frat boy pink polo rock. What's next, Dave Matthews? What I don't understand is that a large majority of the people who listen to bands like OAR and Dave are the kids who were bullies in high school, think they are the shit, dress like they are the shit and are mostly republican...why they listen to stoner rock like OAR, Dave and Grateful Dead is beyond me, because they are all highly liberal and seem to act like nice chill guys.

Anyway, I guess Andrew fits in on this tour, being that he is basically the poster boy for the American Eagle image.

phtmatt8

they only come once to florida. it's some city i've never heard of, and it's some weekend festival and the tickets are $125. friggin bullshit.

Somebody is not going to like me for saying this but I think this concert is awesome, and I would go if it was on the east coast.

OAR is a great band. They have some great tunes, and you shouldn't hate a band because some of their fans are assholes. I went to a concert, and yes, there are some drunk frat boys, but they put on a great live show. Disliking people because of what they wear is judgmental (and not cool) - and it doesn 't matter if it is preppy, goth or somewhere in between.

Also, in some ways this isn't to suprising. I think JM is more of a poppy band then a scene band. I think that people that like OAR would also like JM.

Yea, same as the last guy said. Why do you care about clothes so much? I dont see all the hate toward OAR or bands similiar to them(like DMB) Just because the music is played at a bunch of college parties then it must suck. I think that reasoning sucks, its like me hating a punk group because all their fans wear black eyeliner or something like that. Its stupid. You should try to judge the music and not the fan base of the band.

How is it that O.A.R went to school in Ohio, have a song about Ohio State, and are not coming here? HONESTLY? Regardless of how "poppy" and "Catchy" their songs are, it's still a fun show. (Especially during the summer with a couple beers in hand.) Mainly I'm just bummed to miss another JM tour. Sweet.

I dont know if that was supposed to be sarcastic, but O.A.R. is opening for DMB on a couple of dates.
I guess thats more logical than havin Jack's Mannequin opening for O.A.R., but I like all of those bands so I dont really care.

Why is everyone so mad about OAR? Are they not cool right now in this scene? Some of the comments I'm seeing right now are ridiculous. They are a great jamband, especially for stoners like me. Nothing suits you guys if it's not in.

OAR sucks.

It's unfortunate their fans suck (or so you say, I have no idea, I don't know many people who dig OAR) but it doesn't change their sound. It's boring and lame.

Please, everyone take note of my post.

1)The announced tour dates (that feature JM) are only the first leg; 6/18-6/17.
2)OAR has a better stage presence and is a better live band than a lot of bands posted about on here.
3)Jacks Mannequin is a perfect band to open for OAR. Andrew is an incredibly handsome man, they're real poppy and catchy, and a majorite of the fans to see OAR should definitely enjoy them.
4)Rock Kills Kid will be supporting the show tonight in Irvine Plaza.

Thank you, Kevin. O.A.R. is one of the best live bands around. Almost all of the bands mentioned on this site could not even come close to playing as well as them live. Those of you who say their sound is repetitive and boring, that is not true live.
This would be one hell of a tour, I hope it comes to the midwest.

Well, seeing as O.A.R. is at least a thousand times better than jacks mannequin will ever be, they should be lucky opening up to one of the best jam bands! O.A.R. is one of the most amazing live concerts. They are creative all go above and beyond...point is Jack no offense you may have one good song, but O.A.R. kind of dissappointed me seeing as citezen cope opened of for them last year
