Rumors have been flying about a possible involvment of bassist Don Arthur (used to play with a big up and coming band in Buffalo) with The New Tragic (http://www.myspace.com/thenewtragic). The New Tragic features Phil Gorgeous previously of From First To Last (http://www.myspace.com/fromfirstolast) and Dallas Taylor of Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster (http://www.mayleneandthesonsofdisaster.us) and previously the head singer of Underoath (http://www.myspace.com/underoath). He's been down in Ocala writing and jamming with the guys for the past week and may be potentially becoming a permanent member of the band.

Lame. I don't see why that would matter. He did play in CIWWAF, it's not like you're fabricating things.

I really dont see why Dallas likes this band. I enjoy them but from past interviews he says he hates bands that sound like this.
I dont care either way. I like them.

"If I hear another band that sounds like Taking Back Sunday I'm gonna puke..." - Dallas Taylor

people should take a look at what the blood brothers are doing and perhaps get inspired to not rehash the same old material

About three months ago. It's great here. I miss Buffalo/Rochester sometimes though.

I though I'd like The New Tragic after hearing the intro of "A Half Cocked Smile...", but the rest of the song (and their material) just didn't do it for me.

phil's voice has changed since fftl. i wasn't sure it was him at first.
i don't see them as a taking back sunday band. to me, they're more of a cross between old fftl, underoath and new asl.

This band is an attempt to recreate some of the rehashed filth that everyone is buying these days and cash in on it. I'm sure Dallas is thinking, "Man, i have a wife and kid to support, and I'm in a southern metal band that makes like 3 dollars a year, what am i thinking??"
