Halifax (http://www.halifaxrock.com/Home.aspx)'s new CD, The Inevitability of a Strange World, will be released in Japan on May 16th (http://www.absolutepunk.net/calendar.php?do=addreminder&e=592). Don't worry because the US release date is still May 23rd (http://www.absolutepunk.net/calendar.php?do=addreminder&e=509). The album will be available for pre-order beginning on April 20th.

It probably will be out by summer or atleast during it.
I heard the release has been pushed back from May to June though....
Half of it is going to be old stuff anyway.

why do we always get the shaft when it comes to japanese and UK releases? it seems that if they dont get the album before we do, they end up getting bonus tracks instead. its all crap lol

Does anyone know the title of the bonus track that's going to be on the Japanese release? And as for the reason why int'l releases get bonus tracks (which I thought was common knowledge but obviously not) is because they pay more for releases and usually get them later than the US. Also they do not get to see the bands live as frequently as the US does.

Because usually its more expensive to import it. So why not make it even more worthwhile with bonus tracks.

/head asplodes.not entirely true. The Japanese record labels put bonus tracks on their releases to justify the price, cause the CDs over there are really expensive. So they put on extra tracks to prevent the Japanese people from buying the way cheaper US CDs.

this cd is fucking spectacular. they played a free acoustic show in chicago and my band hung out with them after and they played it for us then. amazing.
