View Full Version : Fans Report In: Jack's Mannequin
Jared Kaufman

Jack's Mannequin (http://www.jacksmannequin.com) played the entire Everything In Transit album in order last night at The Irving Plaza in New York City; however, they encored with "21 and Invincible" by Something Corporate (http://www.somethingcorprorate.com) and then did two covers: The Everly Brothers' "All I Have To Do Is Dream" and Tom Petty's "American Girl." The show was absolutely incredible. There were at least four professional cameras recording the show from different angles, perhaps for a DVD.

AWESOME, I wish I would have seen it
oh my god.i wish i could have been there for that
wow, that definately sounds like a worthwhile show!
i'm really digging jack's mannequin vs something corporate lately.
there are a couple songs on that album where the way he sings certain words, you can just feel the emotion in his voice and i really like it.

that show was fucking awesome. the only thing was I wish Rock Kills Kid played 5 songs instead of 8, it got a little tired. Andrew sounded amazing and because of so many little girls were at the venue when he did the cover of "american girl" only 10% of the crowd knew the words. A+

the crowd was unbelievably loud, albeit because of the little girls screaming because they think andrew is hot.
the show was certainly an awesome experience. when you think of what he went through and you see the enjoyment he has being up on stage again, you can't help but feel good inside.

Tom Petty = greatness
Jack's Mannequin covering Tom Petty would've been great. I've heard Andrew say how he was raised on Tom Petty and Billy Joel but I've never got to see him cover either. I cant wait till he comes further down south so I can see him in concert. He was great with SoCo and I'm sure he is near the same with Jack's

YES IT WAS SO FUCKING AMAZING! he is such a talent.
i managed to score a free ticket--just one, so i had to go alone, which would usually bother me, but in this case IT WAS SO WORTH IT.

since you're all asking about the footage - I've heard rumors of a documentary on Andrew and his crazy year is in production. So far it probably has at least live footage.

Sorry buddy.. the two driving forces behind Something Corporate are very, very committed to their side-projects Jack's Mannequin and Firescape. Firescape's LP is done and coming out this summer most likely.. and it sounds really, really good.
