i can sorta sympathize. arena tours suck but TMV anywhere is like a blowjob -- doesn't matter where as long as you get it.

i dont know how to properly word this as to not sound as if i am bitching too much, because i love both bands, and seeing them together is awesome. but they've toured together like 3 times already, and for the record, seeing the mars volta play a headlining show at roseland vs. seeing the mars volta open on for the red hot chili peppers or even system of a down for that matter... it's no contest, obviosly watching the mars volta play NONSTOP for abour 2 and a half hours beats the hell out of seeing them play like 4 trimmed down versions of a few songs. but hey, i love both of these bands, and provided i can afford it, i'll be there.

except when i saw the RHCP/Mars Volta tour it was with Queens of the Stone Age muhahah so suck on these nuts biotch. had to be almost 3 and half years ago.

It was before de-loused even came out and the Mars Volta was pretty much booed off the stage, but who cares because Queens of the Stone Age and RHCP put on a better live show than the Volta for sure. RHCP live performances are second to none.

What they forgot to post is that if you read this in the context of the article, you can pretty much get from that that the 3 months of announced peppers dates (all overseas) are the ones with Mars Volta. If you read the article about the U.S. tour, it says they still don't know who the openers are going to be but that they will change throughout the tour.
