I fully expect this to plummet off of the first page and never be seen again, as all of my polls are wont to do.
So, what'll it be?

Yeah, I changed it literally right before I opened this poll, and I guess it ended up working out well. I've been listening to Remain In Light and Loaded by the Velvet Underground back and fourth nonstop for like a week now.

Seeing the Talking Heads loving just warms my heart.
haha zero for joanna newsom. i only liked one song then i thought she was too...wierd. i mean like wierd bjork style more. newsom seems too quirky but if it gets people listening to her stuff because it's 'original' then i totally respect that.

Sufjan for me. Your faves are a little too...mainstream for me. I mean, they're alright, but it's clear you're a sellout.
Such a joke.

What have you listened to from her? I had Ys for the longest time, and I liked it but wasn't that high on it. Then I downloaded The Milk Eyed Mender and I have been listening to that record nonstop since, and I've grown to appreciate Ys more because of that.

Yeah, "Sprout and the Bean" is off of The Milk Eyed Mender, and a lot of the tracks on there are similar to that one. I say you should, ahem, "acquire" it and see if you like it. Either way, though, you like Bowie, so you're cool in my book. ;-)
Oh, and someone did vote for Newsom. Good to see.

Joanna Newsom! "Sawdust & Diamonds" is, in my opinion, lyrically the best song ever to be crafted. It was a tough call though on who to vote for because I really love everyone that is on the list. However, I find Joanna Newsom the most inspiring to me.
