To all the idiots complaining about ticket prices: The days of seeing a popular band for 10 dollars are over! Get over yourself and just pay up like everyone else does. Your lucky you live in a scene where tix are only 20 bucks, STILL LESS THAN A TANK OF FUCKING GAS! The alt rock bands play arenas and charge 50-60 dollars a pop! Hip hop and r&b 40-50 EASY! Shut the fuck up and just buy the tickets, no one wants to hear your whiny asses anymore.

The Bled was $12, Brand New was $15, Anberlin/Emery is $15, Thursday is $18... not to mention my tank is about $25 to fill.

none of these bands except maybe thursday has sold 500,000 albums. that is the reason panic is so much. they feed off of fall out boy's success. theyve been on mtv already and theyre less than a year old so what does that tell you? there is a buzz for this band.

Fall Out Boy was 30, Taking Back Sunday was 20 or higher in a ton of markets. Bigger scene acts like Jimmy Eat World and Blink when they were still around were 30 bucks a pop. Your comparing the Bled to Panic??? How was your Purina this morning?

I'd pay $20 to see Taking Back Sunday, but look where they started and went. Blink, two years into their carrer was still less than $20 bucks. Panic? These mother fuckers came out of no where and are headlining for $25?

when you sell 500,000+ albums on an independent label in less than a year, you can do whatever you want. look at their opener, the dresden dolls. this was a band that opened for nine inch nails so youd think theyd headline over panic any day but not so.

i hate the fact that shows are getting so expensive now a days. i remember when i spent about an avg. of 25 dollars at a show, and that is with ticket, shirt and couple of stickers. now it cost about 20 bucks just to get in. if there were better supporting acts of this tour i might have gone. i don't want to spend 25 bones just to hang out with sceneyboppers and to see panic.

haha wait til the service fee comes... anyways...i like this band, but i believe they are overrated and they need small venues to have a good live show
by the way...if you don't think they're big...they've been featured on TRL before, they were on the 10 spot drop on MTV, and are currently played heavily on MTV2 and Fuse... they're well known

let me kick some knowledge for you smart guy
shows i have tickets for that are less costly and shows i recently went to that are less
Brand New $15
taking back sunday $20
mxpx w/ relient k WITH admission to kings dominion that day $40
motion city soundtrack with awesome bands, the matches, the format, and mw&c $15
the starting line with cartel $16
underoath $15
common $21
say anything $10
flipside festival with relient k, motion city soundtrack, sugarcult, the spill canvas, cartel, mae, the matches, and hipv $22
but i just saw on the norva site panic! tickets for $18, which i still think is a little high, but is all of the presale $25 or something

I'm pretty tired of their cd. If it ever comes on iTunes shuffle, I just click "next".
To ALL OF YOU: bitching about how expensive the tickets are.
Are they going to sell out... yes...
your bitching is just annoying, and its really not going to get you anywhere
So regardless of whether or not you think its expensive, they will be bought...
i've seen them twice now, and i'd pay 30$ to see them again... they were a solid band... not all bands have the funds like blink or other bands that they can tour and sell tickets for a dollar.

You make absolutely no sense. None of the bands you listed are as big as Panic is right now with the exception of TBS and those tickets are identical to the prices of Panic. So you just wasted time making absolutely no point. Congrats, smart guy.

Underoath may have sold more albums, their not hotter than Panic right now. Brand New, maybe on this website but that's about it. TBS isn't as hot right not either, so there goes all three of your arguments. And there's something called a paragraph, where multiple sentences can be typed without spacing in between. Try it sometime, its fun.

ps: i would understand if they were headlining the electric factory. the festival pier is basically equal to something like the tweeter center or some other arena. which is why i think it is insane that p!atd is headlining at that venue.

if you think underoath or taking back sunday is bigger than panic, you're an idiot. underoath is playing tiny clubs like allykatz, and they still won't sell out as many shows as panic, who is playing venues 2 and 3 times bigger. not to mention record sales.
panic is one of the hottest bands in non-mainstream music right now. and teh only reason brand new is getting buzz is because they haven't toured in 2 years.

I disagree, look I'm nearing 24 years old pay for my own school, rent, utilites, insurance, groceries, am planning for a wedding, looking at buying a house, and anything else that should come up in a month. I work 60-80 hours a week in general, so besides the price of a ticket I have to take off work for that night. That's extra money I would not have, so regardless of ticket prices I have to remember I'm still not going to have as much money. So $20 or the $30 for a ticket that would be nothing and you'd so easily pay is a whole hell of a lot to some people...............even when they don't have to ask mommy and daddy for more allowance. Sorry if I sound like a dick but having to say something to you but it's pretty thoughtless of you to not think that others may in fact have to watch what they spend, how they spend it, and when they spend it. I've seen not only bigger bands but better bands for cheaper numerous times. I saw the deftones about 3 years ago for $17. I saw 311 for $10. I saw Fallout Boy and Midtown for about $20. There are lots and lots of bands that are bigger that will have cheaper ticket prices depending on the show. I personally will not be going to any of these. I just went to Reggie and The Full and The Bled effect last Wed. and will be attending Alkaline Trio on April 24th. That pretty much takes up my "play around" money. So next time you decide to sit there and rip on somebody for their lack of willing to spend you need to consider there are lots of circumstances behind their reluctance.
