Which of these albums that were never made, from bands that either broke up or had major lineup changes, would have been the best?
-A second Taking Back Sunday album with John Nolan and Shaun Cooper.
-A fourth At the Drive-In album.
-A third The Format Album.
-A fifth Midtown Album
-A full length Saosin Album with Anthony Green
-A Fouth Northstar Album

northstar. i didnt realize that they had three cds though.
Well they kinda did. It could go either way i guess.
The last was called "Broken Parachutes."
It was a collection of unreleased tracks.

There is at least still hope for that to be realeased.
I doubt any others have even a slight chance of being made.
Probably the Format one has the best shot. idk.

A three-way tie between the next Lauryn Hill album, Refused's follow-up to The Shape of Punk To Come, and Acceptance's 2nd full-length.

I picked TBS, but I could've easily picked Saosin. I would say ATDI, but I don't think they could've topped Relationship Of Command. A third Refused album would've been a nice option too.

I like this poll a lot.
Saosin then Northstar
the others i dont care about

Midtown with TBS very close behind. Shouldn't it be Midtowns 4th album or are you counting the ep?

This is suchhhhhh a good poll.
It was between TBS, At The Drive-In, and Saosin..
Didn't go for TBS because I actually liked Where You Want To Be, didn't go wtih ATDI because the product of that switchup (ie, The Mars Volta) spawned some amazing music, so I went with Saosin because Anthony Green is one of my favorite vocalists (even though I do love Circa Survive nowadays).

Yeah i accidently counted the EP.
It should be fourth.

a second TBS album although i did enjoy where you want to be, i think an album similar sounding to that or tell all your friends would have been nice. and a saosin album.

Yeah i accidently counted the EP.
It should be fourth.

Alright cool. I was hoping that was the case because for a minute you had me convinced there was another Midtown full length out and I had totally missed it haha.

From the list 2nd TBS with Nolan however I'd also like a third Neutral Milk Hotel album or Brand New's 3rd album if the demo's didn't leak (although I am happy with the Devil and God)

Any band that had made 3 already didn't need a 4th really (northstar didn't count)
So either Northstar or TBS

TBS.
I'd love to hear a third Killswitch album with Jesse on vocals.
Shoot. Totally spaced out on that one. Would have been great too because it's a totally different genre then the others. Next time.
From the list 2nd TBS with Nolan however I'd also like a third Neutral Milk Hotel album or Brand New's 3rd album if the demo's didn't leak (although I am happy with the Devil and God)
I was thinking about putting on "Fight Off Your Demons" but that would have taken all the fun out of it, putting up a Brand New option.
Plus the majority of those tracks are pretty much available after being leaked.

what about a 2nd Further Seems Forever album with Chris Carrabba? That would pretty much destroy all of those.
this is a good poll. i went with at the drive in. But saosin with green would be unreal as well

The follow-up to How To Start A Fire by Further Seems Forever with Jason Gleason would be better.

Great poll idea. Songs From the Black Hole (Weezer) or a second Acceptance record.

Being that Saosin wrote TTN without Anthony (he just did lyrics/vocals) I'm not sure how different it would have been. I love Where You Want To Be but a second TBS album would have been really cool, just to see how they progress with Nolan.

Weezer - Songs From the Black Hole
see, this is what I thought this poll was gonna be! hah, albums with actual existing material,l not imaginary ones lol,
well maybe there might have been some, but i've never heard any of it, and i'd like to hear some scrapped Midtown
but yeah, Songs from the Black Hole should've been on here, along with a million other scrapped Weezer albums, well theres a scrapped 5th that wasnt half-bad, it grows on ya

08/20/09, 10:30 AM
While I'm glad Green went on to form Circa, it would have been great to see what another album with Saosin would have sounded like.
Also, another TBS album with John and Shaun would have easily topped anything they actually made after Tell All Your Friends.

Saosin with Anthony. We got at least one full-length from all the other bands. I think Circa fits Anthony much better, but I'd still love to hear his vocals with the music written on Saosin's self-titled record.
One of the best polls I've seen in awhile. Good work!

both saosin and tbs for me, but I can't even imagine a follow up to tell all your friends (mainly for nostalgic value I think) but its one of my favorites.
Also another Receiving End of Sirens album with Casey would have been nice to hear

oh man a second Acceptance record would have been good.
I almost went with TBS to see what the difference could have been, but went with Saosin. Would like to know what the instrumentation would have been like with the input of Green and his lyrics too.

sr hasn't done anything that could top tayf, even though they clearly surpassed wywtb and latter albums. john and adam complimented each other so well.
anyways, saosin follows closely behind. as good as circa is, their two albums sound too much alike and don't have nearly as much replay value as ttn.
