Due to a crappy curfew, I've been allowed out until 11 PM. My 18th birthday is next friday, and the curfew no longer applies. I was thinking about charging people to take them home from parties where they get hammered, mainly because I don't really like alcohol. I know I'm not the first to do this, so for those of you that have, is it a good idea?

No, not really. I think someone would choose driving drunk over paying someone to drive them home. So if you're going to drive someone do it because they're inebriated and run the risk of killing themselves and someone else rather than charging them so you can just make money. Anyways there are other people who will actually drive them for free.

but the thing is the majority of the time someone else innocently would get hurt. I say charge them, you could say
"Would you rather give me a couple bucks, or would you like to see your body scraped off the asphalt like roadkill? Your choice."

No one would pay you they would just drive themselves home and probably kill themselves and some innocent people as well. if you don't like parties don't go to them. If you like parties and just don't wanna go be a good person and drive some kids home if they get stuck.

yeah a lot of my friends do that...like if the bar closes at 2, someone will stop drinking at 12 so they can take people home

What she said. People will drive themselves rather than pay somebody to drive 'em and there's a lot of arrive alive, safe rides, etc. type programs out there that give free rides. Try collecting cans or something.

Bad idea cuz people who can't afford your services will kill themselves.
I'd suggest just driving them home that night and whenever you see them when they're all sobered up just ask for a couple of bucks for gas money.

Again, I don't see this happening. No one is going to give you money. If you're invited to the party, and you want to drive people home - then do it. Don't randomly show up and expect people to pay you to drive
