wow. I am in shock. I figured that band would get picked up by a major. Anyway, that is cool. They are an awesome band.

They were cool until they decided not to press Sound The Alarm on vinyl.

i think vagrant knows that there's no future left in mall-emo/nu-punk. They are smart.

Wow. Very surprising but very good move by Vagrant. The Futurehead are a amazing band and it's really cool to see them on Vagrant. Though why The Futurehead are not on a major label is amazing. I thought by now they would have been.

I agree. This choice shows that Vagrant is making itslef into a real and open label with alot of staying power.

BTW Is it me or does Saves The Day sound more like a indie/Rock N Roll band than a Pop-Punk sort of band. I love all of thier records and it would be really cool to see Saves the Day and The Futurehead do a tour together.

Wait, weren't they already signed to a major (Warner I believe)!?!

Wow, this band got dropped so fast!

this is sweet...its great to see Vagrant, who i used love and respect when i was in high school, get back to releasing music that i really think is solid. there were a couple years there when everything just seemed worthless, even from the bands that i still like (HRC's Reality's Coming Through and TGUK's Guilt Show).
this is really exciting and bizarre news

that's a surprise for me, but thinking of it it's a good move for the label

Vagrant did already have Eels, so it's not like this sudden shift to putting out indie bands is completely unprecedented. Besides, it shouldn't be surprising - the emo market is oversaturated, hipster press like Pitchfork stamps dozens of marketable, accessible bands a week with the "officially cool" seal of approval, and Tony Brummell's escalatingly weird behavior has taken eyes off of Rich Egan's questionable history. He has no better time to diversify his lineup and make Vagrant a better label.

Exactly, hopefully other labels will take note before going down with the sinking Hawthorne Heights/My Chemical Romance/From First To Last Ship.
