View Full Version : Best tour ever?

I remember back in '06 (I think that was the year), Thrice, Coheed and Circa Survive toured together in the UK. It was back when Vheissu, Good Apollo I, and Juturna all just came out. This clearly was the greatest tour ever constructed by man, and I was so extremely jealous of people who lived in the UK because I do not. Was anyone from this site at any of the shows? If so, HOW THE FUCK WAS IT?!

I know this isn't actually a 'what's the best tour ever?' thread, but, yeah, I'm gonna make it into one.
Any Tom Waits tour ever.

I saw Coheed and Circa together with Fightstar, one of my favourites.
I saw Times New Viking/Nite Jewel/Deerhunter once. All three bands are soid, all three bands put on a good live show, so it was a great tour.

That'd be pretty mindblowing man. If that ever happened I'd need my friends to scrape my face off from the floor because it would have definitely melted.

This. The Radiohead/Liars tour sounded pretty incredible too.
Seeing them with Grizzly Bear didn't really feel right, for some reason.

I love Grizzly Bear, and they were great live. It just felt kind of, you know, weird
Meanwhile, Liars and Radiohead would form 3 hours of seamless, coherent badass motherfucking.

Is this hypothetical? If so: Brand New/Circa Survive/Alexisonfire: in order of appearance.
If not: My favorite would have to be Underoath/The Devil Wears Prada/P.O.S./ I think I'm forgetting someone.

I think that the actual old warped tour 95-00 was good, i mean we got some good bands out of it like blink-182, and black eyed peas and actually it really sparked the carrers of alot of the bands you like today. Personally this year's warped tour was my favoirte because i have a few choice band's ide rather not bring up to get shit for. Because that's all this forum thing is about, people not liking other's music.

Ben Harper w opener/ Jack Johnson (June 2003)
Acceptance w openers/ The Academy Is..., Panic! at the Disco, Hellogoodbye (hmm, March 2006?)

This is coming to me in November and it could very well be the best concert, collectively, that I will go to...so far

Best tour I've heard of was probably the Refused/Botch/Frodus tour back in 1998. Best tour I've had the privilege of attending is a toss-up between The Fall of Troy/Portugal. the Man/Damiera/Tera Melos/This Will Destroy You, Thrice/Circa Survive/Pelican or Radiohead's In Rainbows tour.

Rise Against, Alkaline Trio, Thrice, Gaslight Anthem
New Found Glory, Bayside, Set Your Goals, Fireworks
This.
The fact it was Alkaline Trio, Rise Against and Thrice at the same show was amazing.
Then a few months later we had NFG, SYG, Bayside (who I don't care for), then Versa Emerge was suppose to play, but dropped off for some reason. So instead they had Shai Hulud open up. Should have seen the faces on the people, haha.
