Do you like thsoe old 1940s-1970s movies from Walt? Or those from the '80s till now??
My vote is for the old classics, like Pinocchio....

errr. Well, that is really hard. I mean, classics are classics and always will be. They're coming out with some good movies, though. I feel partial to the older ones just because I grew up with them. Little Mermaid and Pocahontas are after '80s, so I'll have to with newer.

Edit: I put they're both good. Too hard.

they're all good, well at least as far as animation in the last 10 years Pixar has made up for Disney's poorly executed stuff, with a few exceptions. All the early disney movies were fantastic, and all the stuff from like the 60's and up were written to where adults can really enjoy them, especially stuff like 101 Dalmatians and all, and as a child of the late 80's-early 90's I remain nostalgiac about all that stuff, and even love the music still despite the fact that it was all corny modern 'burst-into-song' broadway stuff, but it was still good, I'm one of the few ppl I know who loved Hercules, the whole mixing of southern black gospel music with greek mythology, effin brilliant. Also having discovered The Black Cauldron when I was 14 (when I was into anime stuff like Akira) I became a huge friggin fan of that being that Disney had made a dark, non-musical fantasy cartoon with some balls.

I'm from the Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, etc era, so I guess I have to go with newer. But to me everything after that does not live up to these.

I don't think you have the eras split up very well... Lion King came out in 1994, but I would consider it a lot closer to the "classics" like Pinnochio than to the "newer" movies like Wall-E (which, yeah, is technically a Disney movie, but I think Pixar movies should probably be in a separate category).

I agree, I don't like the category split.

You should have split it more between hand drawn and animated.

I said new b/c I do like the newer movies they are still funny but with better animation.. BUT I prefer older cartoons. I DO NOT like all these new little "educational" cartoons they play on Disney now.. Nick still has some good ones but srsly what is up with Pooh these days.. My Pooh Bear did NOT look like that. I mean I used to watch Rugrats and Tom & Jerry and Roadrunner, you know great cartoons that were just fun. Now it's like count the number of blue triangles you see.. (okay now my rant is done hahaha)

I like the Disney movies that were released while I was in the 0-12 years demographic, obviously.

Old for the story. they were all brilliant.
And modern Disney would be nothing without Pixar.

this

I think the 80s and 90s disney should be separate from the 2000 on disney movies

I picked old before reading the time frame...and now after thinking about it I should have picked indifferent. They all rule.

I picked new for the sake of Disney/Pixar movies, but I'm a sucker for classic cartoons.
