if i didn't have to pay the extra 30, i'd probably go but its ava and i only know one song so i'm not really down to pay 45 bucks for one ticket. if this was like blink 182 of course it'd be different.

It's a good way too avoid scalpers and such, but $45 is pretty ridiculous for a small show even if it is Angels and Airwaves.

so many record labels do this membership thing with their bands, like Island you have to buy a membership for thrice fan club, its a little ridiculous. it would be a sweet show though.

I like the leaked stuff and everything, but 1) I ain't paying $30 to join to fan club; 2) especially for a band who hasn't released a CD or that I've not seen live.

I think this band already thinks they are the second coming and they haven't even released an album yet. And from what I've heard, they are mediocre at best. Nothing to go crazy for.

but the truth is, this show will sell out in minutes & that's all that matters to them.

I think Chain holds less than 550. Ive been to many a sold out show there. I believe they go a little over 400 most of the time, but 550 would be quite uncomfortable.

You don't have to buy a membership to the Thrice fanclub in order to go to Thrice shows.

I cannot wait for the bootleg!
Angels and Airwaves are good and all but not 45 dollars worth of goodness. Especially seeing as how they are going to be touring soon after their release I'm sure.

It's a fanclub ONLY show. Hence, you have to be a member of the fanclub.

Yeah, I'm still getting used to the idea that Blink 182 is done just because it still hasn't kicked in yet.

What jewbags, AVA can shove their little fanclub right up their pretentious asses.
Most fan clubs give you your money's worth when you sign up.
I don't know anything about A&A's, but I know most do.
The Despair Faction (AFI), for example, costs $20 and gives you a newsletter subscription, a t-shirt, a wristband, some stickers, some posters, and discounts on all other online merch. A very good deal for AFI fans, since a t-shirt alone is $15.

i've never spent more than $15 on a chain show. fuck this man. but i guess if youre THAT into them, more power to you. still sounds unreasonable though. they're just a band.

A&A's will be giving lots of stuff away, including shirts, etc etc. I remember reading about it a couple months ago

This is one I would seriously fly home for if I had the money to. I can't believe all you people are talking shit. You obviously haven't been there. The Chain Reaction + Angels & Airwaves = show of the year.

FYI the tickets are $15. The extra $30 comes from the mandatory fan club subscription.
As of now, this band is all hype. I'm very excited to hear the AvA album, and I would love to see them live. However, I'm not paying that much money to see a band I've never heard before, save for one song, just because Tom DeLonge is their frontman. It's hype, and that's how they're justifying this. Two years ago, you drop that much cash on a blink-182 show at an amphitheatre or an arena if you want to go see Tom that bad.
