Blessthefall is so much better off live without craig. I've yet to see Vanna without chris, but im sure they're pretty good. Im mostly going for blessthefall and vanna, i dont really have any interest in seeing DDG, and i dont listen to finch.

After BTF 80% of the kids left. I'm not a huge Finch fan but I enjoy listenin to em every once in a while, but holy shit, they put on one of the best live performances I think I've seen. Their singer impressed the hell out of me, his clean singing was INSANE and his rough vocals were top notch. The dudes in that band are some seriously good musicians, gotta give em credit. I don't remember their whole setlist but they played:

Hail to the Fire

Awesome show! Nate didn't seem happy about being on the tour at all. He said ''Thanks for watching us...like you have a choice anyway''. There was definitely a lot of fans there for them in my opinion though. Wasn't feeling Let's Get It much but the other bands were excellent.

I would agree with you, but Cody got them here in December with A Loss for Words and one of our scene's biggest locals is having their comeback show so I'm super stoked on that.

I'll go for Of Mice & Men and hang out with my friends in the pit and dance or whatnot and laugh because we'll be the toughest kids there haha

they (finch) started getting mad because so many people left or just sat down for them lol. they were like "you guys CHOSE to be here, get the fuck up!".

that said, i'm not the biggest fan of finch, but he probably put the best screaming performance on of the night. (yes, better than Austin lol)...one of their songs where in the middle gets slow for a while, then he starts doing high screams with kind of a breakdown i was just totally BLOWN AWAY!

Finch are okay, but by the time they played I was tired and had to get up early the next day for work so I only caught part of their set.

Of Mice & Men are alright, pretty fun live...we got the place moving at least.

Blessthefall aren't good, but they're fun enough live though. The Saw intro is pretty sweet and I'm pretty sure I smashed someone during it haha, got a little to into it... The funniest thing was the one older dude that was trying to shove kids dancing until he got tangled up with me and I threw him down straight on his ass. Needless to say, he didn't even try anything with the kids dancing after that ;]

Hate moshing is a variety of things, which can include crowd killing haha...more or less, if you see kids dancing that'll run through the pit and jump on kids up front like there's about to be a chant or gang vocal part...but instead they just punch kids, that's crowd killing. Hate moshing is when you dance but do it by the sides and make sure you hit the people on the sides.

Say what you will, it's still fun to do if it's aimed at 15 year olds guys in girl pants. The funniest thing is the people that bitch about it never, EVER do anything about it at shows, but go home and get ony myspace and call the kids ****. The funniest thing similar to that actually happened with some older metal dude (like 20ish, which is older then most kids at shows). Anyways, there friends shitty nu-metal band played and someone I know started hitting people and this dude ran off and got the owner and more or less told on the kid and then tried calling the kid a pussy after he was too chicken shit to do something to a kid that was smaller then him and had to go get security...

Either way, pit drama is always interesting because of how dumb it is at times.


And for one of the other posts, not sure if it was asked at me (kinda seemed like it was, but wrong city)...the Toledo show was kids hardcore dancing. We're not fond of push pitting around here, but a lot of kids are tolerant enough to let people push up front and we dance in the pit. But there seems to always be a douche that has to go after kids dancing and I always tend to get tangled up with them (throwing the dude on his ass at the atticus show, almost getting in a fight with this one dude at a broadway show, and tackling and kicking this dude in the head for messing with my friends at a local show).

Well, first off I can't stand their CDs. However, I've had a lot of fun at shows to shitty bands that are either bad or beyond boring on CD but bring a good live show. So anyways, they sound bad live. It just sounds all over the place and sloppy and no one gets into it (band and people) so there's no energy which kills everything for a band like them. Then they have no stage presence whatsoever. They played over half a set with recorded interludes so they didn't say anything to the crowd before they did a call for each band on the tour line-up (saying nothing before or after 'give it up for xxxx band'). It wasn't til before the last song where he said it was their last song that he actually said anything aimed at the crowd. And for the most part, they just kind of played and didn't seem like they wanted to be there and no one seemed to care (which has been a vibe Finch has casted off). Part of the reason might very well be few people care about either band anymore. However, Let's Get It don't fit the bill for this tour and they still put it all out there with a ton of energy and flat out admit they don't fit in ("we don't play breakdowns, we play music you can fuck your girl too" as their vocalist told us during their set). It's just a wide variety of things going against DGD that justifies this persons "absolutely terrible" live quote. It's kind of disappointing cause my friend told me they got good but I guess he was wrong...

Yeah he did! It was crazy. I wanted to talk to him before he got up there, but there was a whole line of people waiting to. I'm pretty sure he came on stage at the very end of Message to the Unknown. I kinda wished he sang more of it though.

EDIT: well nevermind because BTF ended up headlining anyway. And Finch got a much better response that I had hoped for. Actually, they were pretty fucking on. Definitely the best sounding Finch show I've been to.
