Okay, they may not have been leading two consecutive years, but I'm sure they were close in 2002 and 2004. So it may have been two years out of those four instead of three. Either way, you can absolutely see the complete tank job they do in the second half of the year in all four of those seasons.

i'm telling you, we need some sort of pitching from somewhere. you can tell the lack of depth from those records, the team just falls apart. and i'll be willing to bet again that the reds will be above .500 the first half of the season, because there's so much potential there and so much talent in some places, but in july and august they will fall apart with their lack of depth and experience.
