Any news on new Relient K single?

Hey everyone I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about when Relient K is going to release a single for their upcoming album? It seems like all these bands that are coming out with albums in late September through October have already had singles out for a while now, or are just starting to release them.. Haha I was just curious, can't wait to hear it.

I went to that site and I did find that they have the title track listed as their latest single, and when I clicked on it it brought up a page with the lyrics.. Haha I'm getting very excited now.

I know me too.. I know the album comes out Oct. 6, but I have no idea about the first single.. Someone said they've already starting playing it on Christian radio stations, so hopefully it'll surface sometime soon.

All of their lyrics are amazing.. To me that's what makes them stick out from so many other bands out there today.. So many different meanings to their songs.

Listening to it on the radio is a legal form of promotion. The band and the management have decided that is a good idea. Ripping it from the said radio and then distributing it yourself is not a legal form of promotion and the band and management have not consented. I'm sorry, it's just my opinion. I just know the bands I listen to won't have a lot of money so I'm determined to give them all the money they deserve from me. So I'll always buy the CDs.

Honestly, I've been listening to this awful radio station for almost 3 hours now and they still haven't played the song. If I catch it, I'm ripping it, so I never have to hear this station again.

Yeah but listening on the radio isn't giving them any money. Listening to a rip is the same thing but more convenient. As long as you buy the record when it's released I don't see the problem.

ive been trying to pop up in these threads as often as possible. so ill share here as well. i believe all of you are going to be more than happy with this record. it's heavier than previous efforts from the band. there's one track that features guest vocals from aaron from underoath and tim from house of heroes. the three of them singing together sounds phenomenal. also, there's a track produced by adam young from owl city, it's basically an all electronic RK song. i've only heard six of the mastered songs, but have been fortunate to hear the entire album, only a rough mix though. going to be another solid release.

Yeah, I thought they were skips like pausing in the stream but it's actually skips with music missing. It's alright though, thanks for sharing. I was dying to hear it.

It's just my opinion. One is legal, the other isn't. Also, requesting bands on the radio helps raise the profile reaching a wider audience (and an audience that they may not have reached before depending on the radio station). I am not denying that a rip won't widen appeal but I question whether the majority of the said rip-listeners will purchase the CD upon release or not. I prefer to listen to the whole CD anyway so it's rare that I'll listen to any songs from an album by a band I like before the albums release. Why listen to low quality rips?

But yes, definitely just my opinion and as I said, people can think what they want. I know people on this site don't tend to respect opinions all to often but hopefully you guys can.

Do you mean didn't end up using them, as in the tracks? Because they were definitely in his studio recording songs. I can only hope for these to be released as b-sides.

Don't like the sound of that. Can you give any more details about that track? I'm not a fan of electronic music, especially an electronic track in the middle of songs that sound nothing like it. Does it flow well within the album? Does it still maintain elements of traditional Relient K style or does it deviate totally from their sound? Thanks.

it has everything that their past albums have had. it's catchy, has that relient k sound to it. but they've also added a little more to their music...not sure how to explain it exactly. as far as the electronica song goes, it flows well with the album yes. but you dont have to like every track on an album ya know? very rarely do you find that on albums these days.
