I'm kind of anticipating this one (due out Oct.27), as they've indicated this newest album is "darker" and "heavier" then their previous efforts. Although for a band that's on the same record label as Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers, that album title doesn't sound very appropriate. However I'm sure that through some band/label discussion, a new Disney friendly title will be reached; "Congregation Of The Darned".

Uhm Danzig use to be on Hollywood Records but I'm more bummed out about their co-headlining tour with Hollywood Undead.

Yeah really, didn't H.O. co-headline with Senses Fail a few months back? I don't understand how they keep getting those kinds of co-headlining slots.

pumped for this album. i actually liked their last effort though. i mean, their previous records were much better but it wasn't awful.

No they Senses Fail co-headlined with Brokencyde but Buddy made remarks about the music scene with it's "crunkcore" bullshit maybe someone in Atreyu will make comments about HO but I don't think they would because they're not smart asses like Buddy but who knows I know I won't be attending any of the up coming shows.

I haven't heard about this but I'm excited , their last CD wasn't bad but I did like their previous two albums better. Also , I'd love to see HU and Atreyu on tour.

Too bad I'm not in high school anymore and have moved on to better heavy music that isn't full of whinny and is the soundtrack to every fat goth or vampire wannabe that lives in a trailer.

Are you being serious? I really loved Deathgrip, and thought their last one was only okay. A step in the wrong direction for me; oh well, I'm still interested to hear what their next effort sounds like :shrug:.

That is interesting; I don't usually hear people say they like that one much, to each his own I guess. I didn't think it was bad, I'm just hoping they aren't taking that road into mainstream rock mediocrity; we'll see after this next album I suppose. I'm crossing my fingers that they've kept their sound.

It's going to suck. I really don't want it to because I love their other releases, but Lead Sails Paper Anchor, minus a few songs, was terrible. This will be no better. And Hollywood Undead is a fucking joke.

yeah Deathgrip is prob my fav, but i did really like lead sails, with the more heavy rock feel to it, and the songs on it were good live like Doomsday n Bull

If Alex only screams in this record instead of his "singing" from Lead Sails. This could be decent. Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses has a special place in my heart though.

Thank you! Atreyu did say this album for the most part would return to their heavier/hardcore style, and I guess they weren't lying.

My sentiments exactly sir. I loved the first 3 releases from them, but lead sails was garbage. This should go back to the old way, or I will more than likley just give up on them. I dont think it is going to suck off the bat, but I'm definetly worried.
And does anyone think that it was their choice to headline with hu, or did the label make them??

Much better, this new album is sounds promising. Hopefully, they do start sounding more like Death Grip again; Lead Sails was just kind of a disappointment...

I give the new song a 6/10 for now. The music is good, and nice to hear Alex scream again. The absence of Brandon left me scratching my head, as did a few vocal techniques (that little low voice he does at the beginging of the verse? Ew). That chorus is kinda weak, though...

I'd say HO is far more 'entertaining' to listen to than Lead Sails. Obviously, HO aren't great musicians by any means. Haven't listened to the new song from Atreyu yet though.

I think LSPA was a good "rock"-oriented album, but at the time I was not pleased with the change in style.. LSPA grew on me though.
New song is.. interesting? Regardless, its good to see their balls have once again dropped. Alex is a good screamer, not a good singer.
