I personally like this band,I think they're different and original. I honestly didn't care much for screamo but that changed after this band.

I'm probably gonna get shit on but I gotta admit I like them. I think people would actually try and listen to them if they never did that horrible cover song(also that other horrible song HxC 2step). There's been countless times where people shit on me when I tell them I like them and then when I tell them to listen to their album all the way through they end up liking them.

I like them. When my band played with them they did the Soulja Boy cover but looked so sad playing it. Energy was just entirely gone. I think if they didn't get famous with that they would be a lot more respected, but not nearly as big. They definitely have some good songs though.

It's awesome though, because if I ever see a rec, or a thread filled with people saying how awesome a band is, I just wait for somebody who I consider to have an opinion or a post count over 1000 to check them out. It's saved me from a LOT of these shitty scene bands.

Motion City Soundtrack has a great sound. I have also been listening to them since I WAS around the age you decided that I was, and they remind me of being younger.
Boys Like Girls is a guilty pleasure of mine. We all have them, but the only difference between you and I is that I'm not ashamed of mine and decided to list them in my profile.
Neither of these bands are awful either. They write good pop-punk music, and don't try to be anything that they aren't.
Feel free to attempt to bash the rest of the bands I have listed. It would be entertaining to see you try to tell me that Nick Drake and Neutral Milk Hotel aren't talented.

ngl, i enjoy a few songs from this band. Crank That and Hxc 2 Step are annoying though. In my opinion, they have terrible lyrics, a horrible screamer, and a pretty generic overdone sound, but for some reason i still find it very listenable. :shrug:

Although I highly doubt that you have been able to fully explore all of these artists(mostly because you spelled a bunch of them wrong and you are only 16(no offense but there isn't enough time to get into that many artists with massive catalogues)), and that is the most pretentious list that I have ever saw in my time here, I still fail to see how you would list blink-182, All Time Low and Armor For Sleep as your favorite bands. Sorry, I'm going to have to call bullshit on this one.

i don't even listen to that much screamo, but i've listened to enough to know that the screamer is terrible at it. for the guy who said "listen to the whole album", i think i would've been better just listening to the songs that i heard on their myspace...the album is absolutely terrible. yeah they are better than brokencyde because they actually can somewhat play their instruments, but holy shit. lose the screamer and you can actually turn songs like "things that rhyme with orange" into ones that are worth listening to.

Was forced to see ISMFOF live at Warped, shittiest act I've ever seen. The singer's screaming has absolutely no dynamics, it's just strewn together, poorly. It's hard to expect much of anything from a band who's claim to fame is a collaborative video with Smosh.

I can see Jimmy Eat World but really, Minus the Bear? Personally, I'd say they're too trip rocky to be associated with MCS.

First off, thank you for actually responding to me. Not. You're trying to be pretentious, when in all honesty, you don't know much about music at all. Broclee and I have been here for a lot longer than you, and he and I most likely know a lot more music than you. It's so much fun arguing with you, because you can tell that you're mad when you post your lame attempts at retaliation. It's a public forum, if you wanted to have a private conversation, use the private messages. You joined, what, like a month ago? If even that? Have you been stalking all of my posts in this forum, just so you can dictate how I post? Really now? Also, I genuinely laughed at how you act like your music tastes are so varied and so much more obscure than mine that I would have no idea who the artists you list are. I'm a goddamn music major, I believe I would've probably heard of most anything you could shoot my way, save for shitty local bands you might throw in there (nothing against shitty local bands, I'm from Greensboro, we're got plenty, and I love them just the same). I come to these forums to discuss music, but lots of people are stupid (not that I'm the end-all-be-all of music, I believe there's this guy named Todd who's got that covered). They get called out. They post petty whiny responses (most likely with poor grammar or spelling, due to being angry). They still look petty.

Basically, if you're not willing to hold your own and not throw a hissy fit if someone gives you shit, you probably shouldn't be on a public forum.
