Emarosa to commence recording their new album in January 2010


Lead singer Jonny Craig recently said that producer Brian McTernan contacted the band with plans of recording their new album. The band will begin recording in January 2010.

Brian McTernan has been behind some of the biggest releases in the alternative scene recording both Circa Survive's highly acclaimed On Letting Go & Juturna albums.

It is rumoured that Jon Mess will be providing guest vocals too

I was listening to the first EP this morning. Miss that era. My friend's band covered "I Am Waves" off that EP.
I still can't really get into the new stuff. It's just a castrated Dance Gavin Dance record.
If they are going to go the melodic route, they should find a different avenue than DGD, maybe more along the lines of Circa Survive-esque atmospherics.

I for one am in love with everything Jonny Craig touches. He even inspired me to move past Vic Fuentes' vocals in She Makes Dirty Words Sound Pretty.

Relativity was awesome, but I think their next album will be even better. No pressure to make that good first impression with Craig's debut.

Their first show on that tour isn't until 4/22. Not sure why they posted that...check teh My Space.

The two songs floating around on YouTube are some of the "lighter" songs of the new tracks. I think there are a few songs that even sound like the EP. Defiantly more structure to them though.

Eh. To me its new songs, same issue which is that the vocals really doesnt blend or vibe well with the rest of the music. I guess Im in the minority when I say that I like his solo stuff better. I mean I like the band I just think that with a voice like his theres potential for much better stuff then hes pushing out.

Well what I've noticed from the previews is that you can hear Jonny's lyrics a lot clearer than any other release of his (Ghost Runner, DGD, Solo, Isles) Usually I can decipher some of his lyrics but I usually have to look them up.
