I'm brand new to these parts, just have situation I need some advice on.. I live w/ my girlfriend and one of my friends from school.. My gf hates her because she is "too young".. I'm 22, gf is 26, and roommate is 19.. My roommate is pretty good about things, always pays rent on time, pays bills, friendly, although she has a weird personality. We use my gf's tv out in the living room-type area. My roommate is short on friends and works days. My gf and I are servers at a restaurant, so we usually work nights. Now, my roommate does weird stuff all the time, like she'll park in the handicapped spot closest to the building and leave the car there overnight, or we'll be sitting in the livingroom eating dinner at 11:30pm, and she'll come out in her pajamas and turn the kitchen light off, even if we were just in there cooking dinner. When my gf is home w/ the roommate and I'm at work, they barely speak to each other.

Now, my gf wants to call the cops when she parks in the handicapped spot and turn every light on in the apartment when she comes out to turn the light off. I'm stuck in the middle, and now my gf calls from work tonight and is like, "If that bitch is watching TV when I get home, I'm gonna freak out." I'm stuck in the middle.. I guess the question is, who is acting irrational about all this? I seem the think that if the roommate parks in the handicapped spot, thats fine, but her car will get towed eventually, and then she's screwed, and I don't really care. Is my gf being malicious in calling the cops, or is she just helping out the handicapped person that lives in the building, (I don't think there is one, at least I've never seen them). Either way, I just wish they could get along, or at least for my gf to have some respect for her. My roomie does do messed up things, but that's her business, and none of ours..

Help a brother out..

Compromise. Your GF is overreacting wayyy too much. However, your roommate is somewhat immature? Tell her to stop parking in the handicapped spot at least, haha.
