Jay-Z's first signing on Roc Nation. He's from pretty close to me (Fayeteville) and I see him providing a bright future for hip-hop (along with Drake, Wayne's protege).

Either him or Drake, I'm guessing.

You didn't like it or it just was't memorable?

It just wasnt memorable.
Understandable. Aside from having, I believe, talent way above average, there's not too much unique about him. I guess that's why he always comes twice as hard as most young rappers.
Either him or Drake, I'm guessing.
You didn't like it or it just was't memorable?haha Drakes already almost there. If he can keep the buzz hes got now rolling with his LP he will be a monster

I'm kind of hoping Drake and J. Cole feud a little bit. It'd be an amazing promotional tool for both artists, plus Jay-Z and Lil' Wayne.
i fuckin love this guy...his mixtape the warm up is just ridiculous, lights please is such a good song haha.

He was tweeting tonight. Said he was going to drop a mixtape and asked everyone to "hold up before you go out to the club" and then tweeted that link. The song is killer. J. Cole is amazingly consistent.

A new mixtape is something I very much want and would enjoy immensely. Dude is a beast. Big things hopefully come.

The beat for "Who Dat" took awhile to grab me, but the lyrics are always an instant hook for J. Cole. I seriously don't think the guy's written a bad song.
I really like J Cole and hope his album is awesome, but dude says ni**a too much. I don't know if he uses it as a crutch or what, but once I noticed it, that's all I could hear. Hope he eases up on that.

"Breakdown" and "Sideline Story" are the best on the album IMO.

even the bonus tracks are solid. Work Out really grew on me
I'm downloading it in its entirety right now. Definitely looking forward to it
This album is the best album I have ever heard, hands down. I waited so long and for an album to live up to the hype it was getting and to actually deliver, is huge. J Cole goes IN on every track.
I downloaded the leak, but I'm definitely buying it. I suggest you guys do the same.

I might buy five copies and give four to homeless people to help educate them, just to support J. Cole and get those numbers up.
He just joined my top 5 rappers ever with that album.
Is there really no official thread for this record? Damn.

I might've seen one. Anyhoo, this is probably the only rap album released this year I'm absolutely loving. I mean, there's a number of others too (Beastie Boys, Raekwon, Talib Kweli, Theophilus London, The Throne), but this is one that's really knocking me on my ass.

Did you listen to Kendrick Lamar's album? It's pretty strong too, my #2 in hip hop to this album. (My top 3 is this, Lamar, and Kweli so far)
"Daddy's Little Girl" is my track.
Mama couldn't never reach her
Brother tried his best to teach her
She thinks she's ready for the world
Just look at daddy's little girl
