Anybody ever play this show? My band is playing it this fall at the palladium in worcestor. Were hoping its going to get good exposure for us. Anybody want to tell me if the show is a good or bad experiance, what to do, who to talk to, any other tips?

By the way- how is the music scene in Philly? My band is thinking of moving there this fall.

In Chicago...

Only the bands that sell the most tickets get to play on the big stage. Anyone that goes is only there to watch their friend/family member's band, so you won't get too much exposure. Also, you don't get to use your own equipment which is pretty uncomfortable.

Some of my friends have played it. It's just not worth the hassle.

dude, I'm gonna say straight up that this thing is a waste of your bands time and money. a band I worked with a couple years ago got epically fucked by the whole thing. I have heard of good things coming from it, but those are few and far between.

Actually my band was thinking the same thing except we're were thinking the summer of 2011. I have heard good things about the hardcore (punk) scene. But we're still not sure

never do shows like this. people only go to see their friends/family and will not become new fans. it is an epic waste of time, even if you make money.
