Envy on the Coast are playing a free show at my college on Labor Day weekend!! I'm very excited and I had to share my excitement with the world of AP.net. That is all

They were pretty good live. Most of the members didn't wear shoes.

Yeah I've seen them before. I don't know about shoes, but their lead singer was fucking intense, and he had sweet dreadlocks as well. I'm more excited at the fact that a good band is coming to my shitty little college.

haha the singer said in an interview that he got the dreads to turn off girls that were into the band for their looks. you can tell that this band is in it for the music.

It's outside on a lawn and I don't think they care who goes. They would probably prefer that more people go since 99.9% of my school has probably never heard of them haha.

i love this band. i remember seeing them at molly blooms II back when they were little. they havent changed. really down to earth guys. sucks that dan left the band him and jeremy were like 1 person in the rhythm section. cant wait for the new cd

As an English person who has no knowledge of American holidays and such, what date is this show? And would I be able to get tickets/get in not being a student? I'm flying over to Boston to see my wife on the 6th and I would LOVE to go see Envy on the Coast while I'm there.

it was just the band playing the song without any vocals. i love EotC but i thought that was kinda a bad idea. they should have got one of the other bands(soasin,norma jean, alexisonfire) singers to fill in

...i thought they were more on the hated side on this site, but i loved Lucy Gray and spin it all the time. Any news on new stuff, I haven't heard about them in a while.

Band is fantastic live. When I saw them the second time the singer got pissed and threw his guitar and the guitar tech screamed fuck you at him and stormed off. But he just kept going. Pretty intense and funny

TO ANYONE CONSIDERING GOING TO THIS SHOW:
The show is on Sunday, September 6th. It starts at 2 but there is gonna be a few other bands playing so I'm not quite sure when EOTC is gonna go on. There should be no problem getting in if you're not a student because the show is outside on a lawn so they really wouldn't have any way of not letting people in/knowing if you are actually a student. The only problem might be if it rains, in which case they will move the show inside. You might want to give the school a call just to make sure everything will be fine. They're so great live. I've seen them 6 times and every single time they were amazing. The last time i saw them, Ryan took his mic stand during "vultures" and smashed it into pieces when he went nuts. It was awesome/a little bit scary hahah
Haven't seen these guys live in almost 2 years. I miss their live shows.

One of the best live bands I've ever seen. I got to talk with the guys after their last show here and they were really nice and down to earth. Sal and I even compared hair and discussed leave in conditioners.

Awesome, thanks. That seems a bit too early for me to get to unfortunately, I land at 1:30 and my wife won't get home from work until about 6pm. And then it'd take us nearly 2 hours to get there too. Nevermind.

Envy on the Coast's new record, which was slated to be released in January of 2010, is rumored to have been pushed back to late February or early March. The band has stated that the record is complete and have provided no reason for the delay.
Also,the song is alright.

I spoke with Ryan at the show in Irving Plaza on Thursday. He said expect the new album in February.

I didn't really get into them until I saw them live. Wish I could see them again soon, hopefully they'll tour with some other good bands this summer.

I finally got around to checking out Lucy Gray. It's not as good as Lowcountry, which is my current AOTY, but it's damn good. so sad they called it a day so early in their career, they could've gone so far.
