Recently I've just been thinking about how futile and pointless it is to have a "productive life." When you think about it, the only purpose of life is to live. The only purpose is to exist, there is no such thing as progress.

Also, free will. What makes you decide to do the things you do? Who chooses what personality you will have? Aren't there just some cases where you just look at something the way you do because its just the way you are? Who decides?

If you're going to answer this by quoting things I said and then responding with "That is such a stupid fucking idea," or some retarded shit like that, please don't bother. It doesn't help. At All.

I think his post is relevant. Who cares if he's 16? That doesn't bar him from philosophical thought by any means, as long as he knows what he's talking about and keeps an open mind.

As for the meaning of life... Dude no one knows it, there has been so much thought on this topic, thousands of books written, quotes all over the place. The best thing to do is, as everyone said, don't look at things in such detail.

I understand because when I was 16 I used to think upon my future life and think "Well, I'm going to finish college and get a decent 5/6 figure job. I'm going to marry, and she may marry me for money. We'll probably have kids that I will regard as failures and look with disappointment and shame upon, like my parents look upon me today. They'll probably loathe me. I'll probably get a divorce around 50. My life will probaly end at about 80 and I don't think I'll feel any sense of accomplishment, my whole world will collapse and I will literally die alone." And it's true. But I stopped worrying about it. Knowing it's going to happen and you can do nothing to stop it sucks. Face it - we all die - we all accomplish little to nothing.

The best part is to keep it off your mind with alcohol, videogames, sex, movies, cartoons, whatever you want. Just don't think about it.

However, I'm wasting alot of time coming up with one liners that take about 3 seconds to post? god, what would have happened in those 3 seconds? Could i have live my life to a greater extent had I not wasted those 3 seconds? How does this effect the continuation of time? Would the future be greatly altered had I not "wasted" those 3 seconds it took to write either of my posts in this thread? Like, omgZ!!!1!! my head's spinning with the thought of the possibilities.

Either way, worrying about such feeble things as this kid posted about, instead of just living life the way you want is really the waste of time. Not my one liners. But thanks for playing, though.
