This is the last call for questions to ask Straylight Run (http://www.absolutepunk.net/straylightrun) this evening at their show. Ask away and I will do my best to get most of them answered.

When will they be visiting the UK? I'll kill to see this band live.

What happened to the live DVD that was supposed to be coming out last November after they did that benefit show?

How do they feel about their upcoming tour to Australia (first time) supporting Matchbook Romance? And how do they think they will be received by Australian audiences?

How do they feel about their mild degree of fame? Existensialism on Prom Night received a decent amount of airplay, and it would be nice to know if they would like the same to happen with their new album, or if they would like to stay at the point of fame they're at.

what are the chances we are going to see a straylight/brand new tour? or even a collaboration with john and jesse?

What exactly are the lyrics to Hands In The Sky (Big Shot) about? My friend says he is dying to know for some reason.

I'm sure they can all die happy now.

i know tbs questions aren't supposed to be allowed but i would REALLY like to know if John has listened to any new tbs (where you want to be or louder now) and what he thinks of it. also, it would be great to ask him what he thinks the second tbs album would have sounded like had he remained in the band.

i saw straylight run a few days ago in providence with MCS, and they were incredible. i don't think they couldve picked a better set than the 9 songs they played. john and michelles voices were both great. they a girl playing cello and singing back up which i thought was really cool. they put on a great show.

Have any major labels been interested in picking them up after their contract runs out with Victory?

The reason I said no TBS questions was because 1) that's all people would give me otherwise and 2) most of them would be "OMG DO YOU H8 THEM?!!!1111" and thus would be fucking irrelevant. I'm really psyched for this show. I've seen MCS and HGB before, and I know how good of a show they play, so if Straylight is on par with that, I'll die a happy man. Did hellogoodbye play anything new?

honestly i've never really been into hellogoodbye so i wouldn't know if anything was new or not, they only played about 5 songs though, they only had a half hour set. after hearing them play i liked them a lot more than i thought i would, so i'll probably check them out more. if straylight run plays the way they did in providence you won't be dissapointed.

ask how nick lampagna ( i think that was his name, the guy they threw the benefit show for last july) is doing. if the money raised helped him (supposedly it was bad, tehre was no insurance..), things liek that...

Yeah, HGB's EP is six songs, so I didn't think they'd play a huge set.

Yet apparently they are big enough to release a live DVD...makes sense to me, not.

"you guys played a really bouncy, upbeat and almost jazzy sounding song where michelle took lead vocals when I saw you at the roxy with minus the bear... it didn't sound like anything you have ever done before and you made a point to say that at the show. any plans to record it?"

Yeah. I was expecting them to play it last like they normally do, but they didn't. I was disappointed.

Either way, I don't think you'll leave the show unhappy. The entire lineup was incredible.
