If you head over to Billboard.com (http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id= 1002314395) you can read an article on the new Bright Eyes (http://www.saddle-creek.com) album.

Gillian Welch and M. Ward, huh? It appears he's going more the folk/Americana route of Wide Awake.

PS:
Attn: all screaming Conor-obsesses girls (and boys)
Please stay the fuck away from M. Ward and Gillian Welch. k thx

It was just the other day that I finally realized that Janet Weiss is both the name of the drummer of Sleater-Kinney and the female lead in The Rocky Horror Show. Now I can't think of one without the other.

Oh, and this should be a stellar album whenever it happens.

Mike and Conor have a fancy recording space now....I have very high expectations for this album.

haha, i know. i'd rather not hear about albums until it's relatively close to the release date.

Wide Awake really grew on me last yr. much more than anything else Conor ever released.

booooo, he's a phoney.

Why is he a phoney?
Because he's written some of the best songs of our time?

booooo, he's a phoney.
...How? He's still on Saddle Creek, he created Team Love so he could keep supporting his friends bands, he's still working with his friends and musicians he admires, and he stills takes his friends out on the road with him. I don't see how he's a phony.

the drums on the new sleater-kinney record kick so much ass. i'm excited to hear how she sounds on a bright eyes album.

If he's gonna have the record done this quickly then I definitely expect a fall tour.
