How do you feel about him so far?

This poll cracks me up. I don't know who could say they really knew what to expect from him. It sounds to me like the perception going around is that he didn't meet any expectations, but then again, those expectations might have been pretty high.

He has governing far too close to the American political center for me.

so then it sounds like your choice would be worse...not sure why this poll cracks you up, i dont think theres been an Obama poll since hes been elected, unless i missed it. lots of people had their own expectations about him.

I voted for pretty much what I've expected because I didn't like his policies and they way he was trying to handle things. That's why I didn't vote for him. Sigh....

I didn't really expect much of Obama, good or bad. Maybe I'll form more of an opinion in a year or so.

If by poll you mean approval ratings, then yes there have been ratings. Just google around for it, you'll find them. All I hear about these days are how its dropping. And it cracks me up because the vaaaast majority of people are voting "as expected", yet I haven't seen any of this "change" that Obama was promoting in the elections.

Pretty much what I expected so far. He's doing some good things (health care reform in particular), and I expected that Republicans would balk at what he's doing.

As what everyone else is saying, he's doing pretty much what I expected. Nothing fantastic yet. People expected too much of him.

what i expected, which isn't much these first 2-2.5 years. i'm looking for big things the second half of this term. i think he's doing a lot better than the alternative would have been doing.

If he would sack up on the health care bill and put a public option in it then I would say that is a huge step. Other than that not really much has been done.
Where is the "change?"

Pretty much what I expected. Though hopefully in the next few years he takes a swing towards the left.

It's pretty much what I expected... and I'm happy with that considering what he came into. But as I grow older, I'm hating politics more and more (on both sides) just because of the polarizing actions & figures on either side.... there are way too many of them.
I didn't expect much and he still has many things to achieve. So pretty much.

Pretty much what I expected. He replaced Bush and became the new thing for everyone to bitch about.

For someone who has absolutely no idea what's going on in our White House lately, I think he's doing pretty good.
Pretty much what I expected. I thought the public's expectations were too high, he's only one man

I think he meant a poll on this website, not in general.

Worse than what I expected...but then again, I expected him to do a lot with education and the economy hasn't given him much time for that.

yeah pretty much what i expected, im sort of surprised that people are already disappointed with him, i mean he hasnt even been prez for a year yet, i dunno what people were really expecting but it seems like they were expecting too much

Pretty much what I expected. I think people need to lay off though, our country didn't get like this overnight so obviously it won't get fixed over night. He might not even be able to fix it in two terms if he gets elected again. :/
What I expected: not much change.
Exactly. You had to be pretty naive to believe every promise he was throwing at the American electorate during his campaign.

Pretty much what I expected; of course, I didn't expect much from him. Most of it seems to be tied to the all-too-powerful legislation, instead of the commander in chief. People's lofty expectations, in my opinion, were way too high in the beginning. I didn't like either candidates policies in the first place. He could definitely be doing a lot worse, that's for sure.

he's being more of a pussy than i expected....im not dissapointed as i expect most of his policies and what not to be established later on in his presidency. im just happy that he restores some sort of credibility to the white house.
