I saw this thread and I thought to myself, there's no way I will make it through this without someone mentioning Fight Club. I was right. Anywho, I'd go with the Transporter 2 firehose fight. The Roddy Piper fight in They Live is a pretty close second, mostly because of the South Park rehash of it with Jimmy vs. Timmy. Amazing.

I'm gonna go recent, the ending fight sequence in V for Vendetta was pretty sicko, even though it was a bit brief.

I'm a huge Asian film snob, so I'll also go with Versus, the long take hammer fight in Old Boy, the new Jet Li movie Fearless, all the old Chow Yun Fat/John Woo shoot em up movies, anything with Donnie Yen, and the scene in Casshern where he takes on the entire robot army deal.

I'll second Ong Bak. Wait until you see Tony Ja's new movie Tom Yum Goong. The action scenes are super sweet.

A great war movie with plenty of fighting/action is a Korean movie called "Tai Guk Chi." It's about the Korean war, and two brothers are fighting it. It's a lot like Saving Private Ryan, except a tad bit gorier. It's cool though.
