I've been noticing ever since I saw Taking Back Sunday at this year's Bamboozle, that other than Matt Fozzi and Eddie there was a third guitarist.
Does anyone know who he is or have any info?

I've wondered that myself.

Omar Rodriguez-Lopez. Only he plays right handed with TBS.
Not really, but in all seriousness I've heard that it's one of Fazzi's friends.

His name is Isaac, he's a friend of Fazzi's.
He's going to be touring with them for a while but he doesn't want to be an official member and have tp deal with the press etc, from what he's said.

Not sure where they need a third guitarist though... Eddie should be able to handle rhythm guitar by himself after all these years. Maybe they are going for a fuller sound.

Yeah, it makes it sound fuller. If it was up to me every band would have 3 guitarists.

Hmm... sounds very unnecessary.

eh, when your band plays mostly arenas and stadiums I can see how it could work out. But for bands who play clubs i dont see a point really ie. Alesana

yeah, good point... i guess it adds depth to their sound, but it's a bit trivial if you ask me.

eddie just plays power chords all song, every song anyways, so why in the world do they need a 3rd?

Yeah I was actually going to make some comment along those lines, because it's not like TBS' guitar parts are very spectacular or difficult but I suppose I'd rather have a third guitarist than pumping pre-recorded music in.

that's a valid point, if this band starts cheating live, i give up.

i always thought it sounds fuller... plus look at how many times a band goes into the studio and add likes three or sometimes more guitar tracks to a song... plus all the tracking that is put into a song and how many times a guitar part is layered.... I think for them it sounds good even though the addition of the third guitarist does seem too make too much sense.
